Alleged snippet of Spider-Man: Brand New Day soundtrack leaks online

The build up to Spider-Man: Brand New Day is becoming unique Marvel project because very few details from the movie are known, even with its release just weeks away. Yes, there are some aspects about the movie that have been leaked online, but most of those leaks remain unconfirmed. This is why many Marvel fans are looking forward to the fourth Wall-Crawler movie.

This week there was another leak pertaining to the Spider-Man movie. But this leak was not something major, just a small portion of the movie's soundtrack. The soundtrack's legitimacy remains uncertain because it did not originate from official sources.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day soundtrack leak - Is it legitimate?

X (formerly Twitter) user, @MrSukunaOnFN posted a 30-second snippet of music from the Brand New Day soundtrack. However, it doesn't sound legitimate when compared to the one played on an Instagram reel posted by the official Spider-Man Instagram handle. The reel in question is this:

Given that the video is from an official account, it is plausible that we hear this music at some point in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. However, the leaked music posted on X (formerly Twitter) is of questionable origin. We don't know if this leak is real or not either until the movie's release at the end of this month or the official soundtrack is released in a few weeks.

Like the previous three MCU Spidey flicks, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scored by Michael Giacchino. Therefore, we should be on the lookout for Giacchino's official YouTube channel if the soundtrack from the movie is released there.

What do we know about Brand New Day?

The Brand New Day trailer confirmed the long-awaited return of Rage Hulk in the MCU. Apart from Hulk, the movie also features Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle/The Punisher, bringing the movie and TV show sides of the MCU closer. But one of the movie's biggest mysteries is the identity of Sadie Sink's psychic character. We see her using her psychic powers to freeze people, but, apart from that, not much is known about her character.

Rumors have circulated across the internet for months that Sink is playing Jean Grey in the movie, setting up the X-Men and the rest of the Mutant Saga. But we will probably learn that only in the theater. Apart from setting up the mutants, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is also a key piece of the puzzle in the MCU, as it would definitely set up Avengers: Doomsday.

If you don't count Avengers: Endgame Encore, the new re-released version of the 2019 movie, the next movie, continuity-wise, after Brand New Day, is Avengers: Doomsday. Therefore, many are hoping that the post- or mid-credit scene either ties into Doomsday or we get the MCU movie's long-awaited teaser.

Brand New Day's synopsis reads:

"It's a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control.
