Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Anthony Stewart Head died today at the age of 72 due to pneumonia. He was popular among his fans by playing the role of a school librarian at Sunnydale High School. His relationship with Buffy grew beyond a professional alliance thereby developing into a warm supportive connection that resembled a father-daughter bond.
Anthony also played Rupert Mannion in Apple TV's popular TV show Ted Lasso. He also played King Uther Pendragon in Merlin and the Prime Minister in Little Britain. His daughters Emily and Daisy revealed that their father died peacefully from pneumonia while his family was with him.
The actor was born on February 20, 1954, in London's Camden Town. His father was a documentary filmmaker who helped him start Verity Films. His mother and brother were both actors.

Anthony appeared in all seven seasons of the cult-loved series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and became very popular with fans. A spin-off show called Ripper, which was about his character, was planned but the production house faced rights issues and therefore they stopped it. His fans are mourning and saying that he was a wonderful actor, and from all the appearances they have seen him, he was a lovely human being, too.
He began his career in musical theater. The Buffy fans enjoyed his famous episode "Once More, With Feeling." He also appeared in several Doctor Who projects, including a guest role in the 2006 tenth Doctor episode "School Reunion" along with many other roles,

Buffy the Vampire Slayer's iconic actor, Anthony Stewart Head, passed away at 72 due to pneumonia. His daughters confirmed that he died peacefully, surrounded by his family. Their daughter said,
"It is with heavy hearts that..... we announce the death of our extraordinary father......."
They added,
"It has been.........and forever will be, an honour and a privilege to be his daughters..........and to have witnessed firsthand the impact both he and his work have had on so many........."
Daisy and Emily said that they knew their father would be deeply missed by his friends, colleagues, and fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. They also explained that he loved his job very much and always felt extremely lucky.
