The countdown to Avengers: Doomsday has already begun. Marvel has announced an official rewatch podcast, Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday, that will give fans a glimpse behind-the-scenes of the MCU, revisiting the pivotal moments leading to Doomsday.

The podcast will be hosted by The Basement Yard's co-host, Frank Alvarez. Joining Alvarez is Iman Vellani, known for her role as Ms Marvel/Kamala Khan in the Disney+ miniseries and other MCU projects. Vellani has also appeared in Mouse, Tales from Woodcreek, and Animal Farm (voice actor).

Marvel has shared an audio trailer of the podcast where Vellani and Alvarez discuss what to expect in the upcoming series. The duo discussed that they will be rewatching The Avengers, Age of Ultron, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Infinity War, and Endgame. Both Vellani and Alvarez then share their views about the movies, characters, and so on, where Vellani remarks,

"The Infinity Saga a labour of love"

In a different instance, Alvarez disagrees with Vellani's comment (undisclosed) as he shares,

"If you are bringing that to just talking about the movie then we are not on the same aise of the argument. I might be in trouble."

To which Vellani jokes,

"You were in trouble the minute you signed up for this podcast."

The synopsis of the podcast further states that both Vellani and Alvarez will analyse the Marvel Cinematic Universe while discussing fan theories and their favourite sequences. They will revisit the most iconic moments of the projects, discussing their cultural legacy and impact.

Disney+ has also shared an official Countdown to Doomsday watchlist which consists of around 14 movies and one series. The list consists of blockbusters such as Loki, X-Men, X2, Captain America: The First Avenger, Infinity War, Endgame, Shang-Chi and Legend of Ten Rings.

The list also contains Spider-Man: No Way Home, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Captain America: Brave New World, Deadpool and Wolverine, Thunderbolts*, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
