Attention Blinks! Netflix has recently confirmed Lisa as a main cast member in TYGO, an upcoming action thriller. Yes, you read that absolutely right!

What's even more interesting is that Lisa is joined by two of the most talented stars: Don Lee of Train to Busan, Twelve, and Squid Game star Lee Jin-uk, who appears as Player 246 in the hit Korean TV series on Netflix. Following the confirmation, Don Lee said:

"TYGO brings a distinctly Korean identity into the global Extraction universe. We can’t wait to unleash its explosive energy on audiences worldwide."

The movie will take place in the same universe as Extraction and follow the acclaimed novel. However, it will have new faces and a much more thrilling story. Since the news just broke, Netflix hasn't shared the exact plot or the other cast members who will appear in the film.

Lisa Manobal, better known worldwide as Lisa from BLACKPINK, is a Thai performer who has built a massive global following through her work as a rapper, singer, and dancer. She first rose to fame as part of BLACKPINK and later proved that her talent isn't limited to singing, stepping into acting.

And recently, Netflix confirmed that Lisa will join Don Lee and Lee Jin-uk in the upcoming thriller, TYGO. As explained earlier, the film will be part of the Extraction universe, but it will introduce new faces and a whole new story.

The Money singer shared:

"I’m so honored to be a part of this project and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such incredible actors. Being in an action movie has always been a dream of mine, so for my film debut to be such an exciting project feels very special."

Lee Jin-uk, who made headlines with his role as Player 246 in Squid Game and recently played the main role in the K-drama Beyond the Bar, shared his excitement and gratitude.

The actor said:

"As a fan of the Extraction franchise, it’s a great honor for me to join this universe. I’m especially excited and grateful to be working with Don, whom I’ve always admired, and with Lisa as well."

He continued:

"I’ll do my very best to present a film that lives up to your expectations."

TYGO is being produced by Big Punch Pictures and AGBO, with support from Nova Film Inc. and B&C Group. Interestingly, this is the project that Lee Don has been working on for quite some time, and it's finally happening.

Producers from AGBO, including Angela Russo-Otstot, explain that this collaboration shows their long-running relationship with Netflix and their interest in telling stories from different parts of the world. She praises Don Lee as a legendary action star and commends director Lee Sang-yong for creating dynamic action sequences.

She also says the team is excited to bring Lisa and Lee Jin-uk into this universe, viewing them as major talents. TYGO is AGBO’s ninth partnership with Netflix, showing how closely the two companies continue to work together.
