A few hours after an FBI raid on his Cordova family home in Memphis, Tennessee, rapper Pooh Shiesty was arrested in relation to his 1017 Records boss Gucci Mane’s January 2026 abduction and robbery.

Shiesty, real name Lontrell Williams Jr, was among eight people taken into federal custody on April 1, including his father, Lontrell Williams Sr, Rodney “Big30” Wright Jr, Kedarius Waters, Terrance Rodgers, Damarian Gipson, Demarcus Glover, Kordae Johnson, and Darrion McDaniel.

According to the North Texas U.S. Attorney’s Office press conference, these individuals and a ninth person “executed a coordinated armed takeover.” The last one is currently in the wind.

Amid Pooh Shiesty’s recent legal trouble, X user @Obsrvate shared an old 47-second clip of the rapper’s Instagram Live and claimed in the caption:

“Pooh Shiesty went live exposing Gucci Mane for being a snitch and running to the police after getting robbed and kidnapped by him and Big 30. ‘You supposed to be a gangster, but you working with the police. We should have got you gone, but we let you live, you gon be gone now.’”

However, nowhere in the clip did Shiesty, 26, mention Gucci Mane being a “snitch.” The caption was seemingly meant to deceive/ mislead fellow netizens and should be taken with a grain of salt.

In fact, @Obsrvate account’s bio clarifies that it often shares “Parody News” alongside daily streamer clips.

Meanwhile, Gucci Mane has previously denied the kidnapping cum robbery.

Now, amid Pooh Shiesty’s arrest, fans have also resurfaced a social media clip where Mane said he didn’t “believe” in snitching, but instead in “Don’t tell the police!”

Exploring further the incident surrounding Pooh Shiesty and Gucci Mane

According to NBC reports, Gucci Mane and two of his associates traveled to Dallas, Texas, on January 10, for a scheduled business meeting to discuss the terms of a contract with a recording artist signed to his label.

However, things went sideways when the three men were kidnapped at gunpoint and taken to a studio where Mane was forced to sign a contract, allegedly releasing Pooh Shiesty from 1017 Records.

Meanwhile, his co-conspirators robbed his associates of Rolex watches, cash, jewellery, and other valuables. One of them was allegedly choked near unconscious.

Later, they were released and taken to their vehicle and were allowed to leave the previously barricaded location.

Back then, Pooh Shiesty was in home confinement on a 2021 firearms conspiracy charge and conviction in Florida.

Last October, the Back in Blood rapper was released from federal prison after serving three out of five years of his April 2022 sentence. It is noteworthy that at the time of his early release, he was ordered to stay home and not commit another federal crime or possess a gun.

Now, if convicted for the abduction and robbery of Gucci Mane (real name Radric Davis), Pooh Shiesty might face further jail time.

His recent arrest came in Memphis, while others were picked up from Dallas and Nashville.

Northern District of Texas U.S. Attorney Ryan Raybould said on Wednesday’s press meet:

“As alleged, nine defendants traveled to Dallas, Texas, to kidnap and rob victims who thought they were coming into town for a business meeting. Instead of discussing business in a civil manner, the defendants resorted to violence and intimidation to achieve their purported business objectives.”

Raybould continued:

“For anyone contemplating using violence and intimidation as a business practice, I’m here to tell you that it will be vigorously investigated and prosecuted... This case should serve as a warning to others who believe that using violence and intimidation tactics to rob others in our community is a viable way to conduct business.”

Pooh Shiesty is now being called the “ringleader of the conspiracy” who violated the terms of his home detention/ supervised release (he traveled across state from Memphis to Dallas), as indicted by cell phone records, license plate reader data, and travel correspondences.

His father, Lontrell Sr, allegedly helped “plan and execute” the abduction, according to car rental records and surveillance footage from the alleged scene of the crimes.

Additionally, the co-conspirators seemingly shared images of the stolen items on social media, which are now part of the evidence in the ongoing case.

It is noteworthy that Gucci Mane never confirmed the abduction and robbery. In fact, days after the alleged incident and growing speculations, he uploaded a picture of himself showing off his jewellery and holding a LooseLeaf pack.

“We only roll Diamond Splits,” the IG post was captioned, seemingly as a way to assert his control and refute the rumors.

Meanwhile, comedian Tasha K took to X around the same time and claimed:

“Yes, ALLEGEDLY Gucci Mane was kidnapped by Pooh Shiesty and held at gunpoint until he signed a contract releasing him from his Death Row Records 2.0 situation/ A very strong source connected to the situation called me and filled me in. There was NO confirmed robbery, just an alleged contract release so Pooh could freely sign to Yo Gotti.”

Tasha added:

“On Monday, I’ll drop the rest of the deets. This is allegedly the real reason Pooh was arrested, and they’re allegedly trying to cover it up... if what I’m being told is true. Everything is ALLEGEDLY. Even my name is allegedly!!”

Pooh Shiesty first signed with 1017 Records, an imprint of Atlantic Records, in 2021. It was under Gucci Mane’s label that he released his hit songs, Shiesty Season and Back in Blood (ft. Lil Durk).
