Close associates of Sean Combs have reportedly rejected the latest courtroom allegations that Diddy had offered to pay a $1 million reward to gang members for the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur.

According to TMZ, a former LAPD detective claimed that Sean had tried but failed to arrange the amount for Tupac's murder.

Sources close to the imprisoned music mogul stated that Diddy had no involvement in Tupac's death because he neither carried out the shootout, nor organized it. They said,

"He did not pull the trigger or set it up. It would be a waste of time if prosecutors ever called him as a witness."

The sources further said that the prosecutors would be wasting their time if they ever attempted to call him as a witness.

ABC News reported that LAPD detective Daryn Dupree gave his testimony during Tupac's murder trial. Earlier, Dupree had interviewed Davis while investigating Christopher Wallace's murder case. According to his testimony, Davis denied his involvement in Biggie's killing, but later the ex-detective revealed that the accused shared confidential information about Tupac Shakur's 1996 shootout case.

The former investigator further said in court that Davis had made strong accusations against Sean Combs and mentioned that Combs had arranged an amount of $1 million linked to the rapper's killing.

Dupree further explained that Davis allegedly expected the money to come through an associate named Zip. The convicted person said that the payment originated from Diddy's account before being passed along through the intermediary.

Depree had also testified about an alleged meeting at Greenblatt's Deli in Los Angeles. During that conversation, Davis reportedly claimed that Sean asked for Tupac's murder. The testimony also focused on an alleged payment that never reached Davis. The detective further explained that Davis wanted to raise the issue of the missing money with the supposed intermediary.

Insiders deny Diddy attempted to bankroll Tupac Shakur's murder

After these allegations, sources close to Sean Combs firmly rejected the accusations and further emphasized that Sean had no involvement in Tupac's murder. The sources said,

"Diddy had absolutely nothing to do with the Tupac murder."

The claims added another sharp twist in Tupac's murder case. The courtroom testimony did not prove that Diddy took part in the killing because his representatives quickly dismissed the accusations.
