Steven Spielberg's upcoming sci-fi movie, Disclosure Day, is all set to hit the theatres on June 12, 2026, in the U.S.
Distributed by Universal Pictures, this film begins when a television reporter, played by Emily Blunt, starts to murmur in an alien language during a broadcast. As panic spreads, a man named Daniel Keller finds out that he can understand the message. Turns out, it's a message from extraterrestrial beings.
However, when Daniel tries to convey the message/reality of the alien communication to the public, a powerful organization (potentially government-aided) tries to silence him. In an interview with Universal Pictures, Emily Blunt reveals that this sci-fi film will delve into the idea of non-human life existing in other worlds. She adds that Margaret is gifted with psychic abilities that she never had before.
Josh O'Connor as Daniel Kellner
Josh O'Connor (Wake Up Dead Man and God's Own Country) portrays Daniel Kellner, a cybersecurity administrator who gets entangled in a complex case involving aliens and the secret government organisation.
As per the trailer, Daniel steals secrets about non-humans that he was supposed to hide from the world. However, when he hears Margaret murmuring an alien language during the live broadcast, he realises that he can understand her. He wants to disclose the secret to the world, but a secret government organisation wants to stop him. It's Margaret's psychic abilities that help her to connect to Daniel and warn him about the attack.
Colin Firth as Noah Scanlon
Colin Firth (Conspiracy and The Staircase) plays Noah Scanlon, the head of Wardex corporation. The Wardex corporation tries hard to stop Daniel from revealing the message to the world. They try to hunt him down, but with Marharet's psychic powers, it seems difficult.
Colman Domingo as Hugo Wakefield
Colman Domingo plays Hugo Wakefield in Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day. In the trailer, he seems to aid Daniel and Margaret. It seems like he's a Wardex defector. Domingo is well known for his projects like Euphoria, The Four Seasons, Selma, and Michael, to name a few.
