Ethan Klein has received support from former Twitch engineer and former Reddit moderator Bryan Wade as the H3 Podcast affair controversy continues to draw attention online. Wade, famously known as Stale2000, posted a video on X titled "I Stand By Ethan Klein: A Message to Ethan."

In the video, posted on October 26, he showed support for Ethan Klein and told him not to give up despite the backlash, saying:

"Don't give up and walk away from the internet forever."

He also spoke about his long-running issues with Reddit, calling the platform:

"Horribly mismanaged."

More on the story below.

Bryan Wade backs Ethan Klein amid affair rumors and encourages him to protest against Reddit

Wade previously worked at Twitch for over four years, starting in August 2017, as a senior software engineer, according to his LinkedIn. He later became one of the main moderators of the popular subreddit r/LivestreamFail (LSF). However, he was removed from the LSF moderation team earlier this year over his involvement in the Million Dollar Fan project, which later faced scam allegations.

Later, he also uploaded a video on X titled "Reddit Banned me For Attending an Event!" where he talked about attending an in-person Reddit moderator meetup at the company's headquarters. Wade was on the waitlist for the event but still showed up as someone else's plus-one.

According to him, the security asked him to leave and warned that they would call the police if he didn't. Soon after, Reddit permanently banned all his accounts. Ever since, Wade has openly shared his frustration with Reddit and the way it deals with its moderators and events.

In his recent video posted on X, Wade showed support for Ethan Klein as a person while making it clear that he was not defending the cheating allegations. He explained that cheating scandals are quite common among influencers and rarely end their careers. To make his point, he also mentioned Fuslie and Dr. Disrespect, who were able to move past similar controversies. Wade added that influencers can often move on from such situations by continuing to post content until people lose interest and shift their attention to the next online drama.

Wade also directly addressed Ethan Klein, congratulating him for getting through what he described as the worst controversy of his life. He admitted that it was uncertain whether Klein would make it through but said that surviving it could make him almost impossible to bring down in the future. Wade explained that if this was the worst backlash Klein had faced, his online enemies would have little left to use against him. He also praised Klein for standing up to online stalkers, people supporting terrorist propaganda, and large companies, adding that he was curious to see what Klein could do next without the fear of another controversy holding him back. Wade also acknowledged that online critics would continue to bring up the cheating scandal but questioned whether it was any worse than the harassment Ethan Klein and his family had already faced.

He then pointed out that both he and Klein had criticized Reddit for giving moderators too much power and allowing large subreddits to be used for targeted harassment and the spread of foreign government propaganda. Wade urged Klein to take action against Reddit, saying that even if he did not want to file another lawsuit, he could still put pressure on the company. He also brought up Klein's earlier idea of camping outside Reddit's San Francisco headquarters or organizing a protest, encouraging him to follow through with it. Wade added that many of Ethan Klein's supporters might join the protest and help keep it going for weeks if needed.

Towards the end of the video, he called Ethan Klein:

"An internet warrior, Ethan, always in a justified crusade."

Wade ended his message by urging Ethan Klein not to walk away from the internet or give up on his ongoing battles. Wade again suggested organizing protests outside Reddit's San Francisco headquarters over the company's handling of foreign propaganda and online harassment. He also told Klein not to drop his lawsuits, apologize to his critics, or let his online enemies win. Wade praised Klein for being willing to take risks and use his influence to fight back, adding that it would be a loss for the online space if someone as influential as him walked away over what he called a common internet controversy. He ended by thanking Klein and encouraging him to keep fighting.

Last week, Hila Klein uploaded an Instagram post stating:

"I am living in a nightmare I can’t wake up from. My husband has been having an affair. I have been fed lie after lie after lie for months. I am tired of lies."

Replying to the allegations, Ethan Klein wrote an Instagram story, according to Variety, stating that

"I know a lot of people are understandably looking for a comment from me, but I ask that you please respect my family’s privacy and do not contact them looking for me or asking for their comments."

He added that his family had nothing to do with the situation.

With Ethan Klein facing backlash over Hila Klein's affair allegations, Wade has come forward to support him. At the same time, he has continued to criticize Reddit and how the platform handles its moderators.
