Disney is partnering with the group Dude Perfect. The collaboration will combine the group's creator brand with the media company's ventures across sports, entertainment, merchandise, and live experiences. Founded in 2009, Dude Perfect is known for its sports-focused content, family-friendly comedy, trick-shot videos, and adventure vlogs.

Through this new partnership, Dude Perfect will not only create videos for the media company but also collaborate on a range of other projects.

What does the new Disney and Dude Perfect partnership entail?

As The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reports, Disney has signed a creator deal with Dude Perfect. Dude Perfect was founded in 2009 by five Texas A&M University students: Tyler Toney, Coby Cotton, Cory Cotton, Garrett Hilbert, and Cody Jones. The group initially gained popularity through YouTube videos featuring trick shots and sports challenges. Since then, it has grown into a successful entertainment company.

The media company is describing the partnership as:

“company-wide creative partnership”

This means that the collaboration is not just about making promotional videos about a film or a show. It is going to extend across several parts of the media company's business. This is also not the media company's first collaboration with a creator. The company has earlier partnered with creators like Dhar Mann and Like Nastya.

Through the partnership, selected existing, short-form Dude Perfect videos will be available for streaming on Disney+. This will give the streaming platform's subscribers access to some of the group's existing content on the platform itself. As part of the deal, Dude Perfect will create new content for the media company's platforms and channels.

The goal is to combine the group's content around challenges with the media company's entertainment properties and events. The partnership also covers merchandise and experiences. As THR reports, some of the projects Dude Perfect will focus on are Avengers: Doomsday, Super Bowl LXI, and the 50th anniversary of Star Wars. However, what kind of content or events will be made around these projects is yet to be revealed.

Dude Perfect is understandably extremely happy and excited to begin their partnership with the company. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Garrett Hilbert, co-founder of Dude Perfect, said:

“We’ve been Disney kids forever, from wearing out the VHS tape of The Lion King to making core memories as a family at Disney World,”

He talked about how the media company has taught them to dream freely and go big with whatever they do. He continued, saying:

“Now, we get to make more of those dreams come to life with the Disney team, and we can’t wait to bring our fans along for the ride.”

The new partnership is thus beneficial for both parties. It will allow selected Dude Perfect videos to appear on the company's streaming platform, alongside original content inspired by major events and franchises. The media company, on the other hand, will be able to reach new audiences through an established group that already has a fan base.

It is yet to be seen what this collaboration will look like in reality, and what new experiences it will bring for the audience.
