The fresh controversy is gaining attention among the Twitch community and other social media platforms over private Discord messages involving Emiru and Asmongold. Reportedly, these messages have been leaked by none other than her ex-boyfriend, Mizkif.
Many people who saw the leaked messages believed they showed Asmongold casually talking about a racial slur during his private conversation with the streamer. Other users also felt that the messages hinted at a flirtatious dynamic between the two, which led to even more speculation about their relationship.
And as those screenshots gained more attention and criticism, the Twitch streamer came forward with an explanation. Emiru did not reject any claim, instead she shared more screenshots of the same Discord conversation.
According to her, the original leak did not include the full context. So, she wanted people to see the parts that had been left out before forming opinions. However, she also admitted that some of her own messages did not reflect well on her:
"I know this doesn't change the context of certain things..I totally understand..I'm not cool with that type of language..looking back, I don't like how I handled it."
Emiru openly said she was not proud of how she had reacted at the time and acknowledged that her responses could be viewed negatively.

Emiru says leaked screenshot omitted the conversation's original context

During her stream, Emiru said the Discord messages that are going viral on the internet did not reveal the entire context of her and Asmongold's conversation. She mentioned that the screenshots were cropped in a way to create the impression that Asmongold was joking about using a racial slur as a password and that the pair were flirting.
But she said neither interpretation reflected the full conversation. She explained that the discussion had actually begun with talk about unusually disruptive viewers who repeatedly created new accounts to harass people in chat.
The Twitch streamer said she had been referring to one such individual before Asmongold brought up another example involving one of Trainwrecks' viewers. In her account, the unusual-looking text shown in the leaked screenshot was part of that discussion about someone allegedly trying to bypass chat moderation rather than an example of Asmongold describing his own password.
She said during the stream:
"There was a conversation posted..I wanted to show the actual context..claimed in the post that we were like joking about a password or flirting..not what happened..we were talking about crazy viewers in chat.."
The streamer continued:
"I was talking about this guy who made multiple accounts to harass ppl in chat and then he, Asmon, starts talking about one of Trainwrecks' viewers...so that was the actual context of what's going on is I'm reacting to this super f'in weird viewer..it was not his password."
And to support what she's explaining, Emiru then released new screenshots from the same conversation. She wanted to show the entire conversation as it was spreading the wrong context.
Emiru accepts criticism while raising concerns about others

While Emiru shared more screenshots from the conversation, she did not defend her way of talking. She admitted she was uncomfortable with the language used in the chat and said she was not proud of how she responded.
The Twitch streamer mentioned that people have the right to criticize her actions if they feel offended. She also shared that this controversy has affected people close to her, even when they're not related to it. She added that she wants to protect her friends from the unwanted attention.
Overall, this leak has become part of the ongoing dispute between Emiru and Mizkif, which has also become a legal matter. After their breakup, the streamer has accused Mizkif of abuse and misconduct, which he has denied. Mizkif later filed a defamation lawsuit, saying the allegations harmed his reputation.
