In a surprising turn of events, Ethan Klein has dropped the lawsuit charges against YouTuber Noah Samsen. Samsen recently uploaded a new YouTube video announcing the news. For a year, Ethan Klein and Noah Samsen have been fighting each other in court, which stemmed from Samsen stating Klein to be one of the YouTubers who supported the genocide in Gaza. Klein has been consistently claiming that Samsen's statements about him aren't true but has now dropped the lawsuit. The Ethan Klein lawsuit against Noah SamsenIn March 2025, Noah Samsen had released a video titled The YouTubers Who Backed a Genocide. In the video, he listed and discussed the YouTubers who allegedly supported the genocide in Gaza. Ethan Klein was one of the YouTubers Samsen had listed in the video, claiming that Klein supported genocide.Ethan Klein had initially sent Samsen a cease-and-desist letter, but when Samsen refused to comply, he filed a lawsuit against him in March 2026. Now, on July 11, 2026, Noah Samsen has released a new video on his YouTube channel, announcing that Klein has dropped the lawsuit. In the new video, Samsen said:"It's over. Ethan Klein has dropped his defamation lawsuit against me. He filed a motion to dismiss the case with prejudice, meaning that he cannot sue me for the claims in this lawsuit ever again. It's over. We won. I mean, kind of. We didn't really win anything."He continued,"In fact, I actually lost like a bunch of time and money and peace of mind and all that. But I am no longer being sued, so l guess we'll take it. This lawsuit and the legal threats leading up to it have been a massive year-long headache. I'm super glad that it's over. I can get back to just focusing on videos."Back in 2025, when Ethan Klein was accused of supporting genocide, he soon denied the allegations against him. His legal team sent Samsen a cease-and-desist letter that demanded that he take the video down and issue a public apology. Samsen did not agree to do what Kelin wanted. That's when things got much more complicated. In March 2026, just before the statute of limitations expired, Ethan Klein filed a defamation lawsuit against Samsen. The lawsuit highlighted six allegedly defamatory statements, including the video's title and thumbnail, and demanded unspecified damages alongside a jury trial. View this post on Instagram Instagram PostSamsen launched a GoFundMe campaign, raising more than $120,000 to cover his legal expenses. Meanwhile, his attorney, Deborah Drews, began to prepare an anti-SLAPP motion to get the lawsuit dismissed and recoup their legal fees.Mere days before Samsen's anti-SLAPP motion was due, Klein’s legal team reached out to Samsen with a settlement offer. Klein ordered that he would drop the lawsuit if Samsen signed a non-disparagement clause, removed six videos, and posted a pre-approved public apology on YouTube and X. The apology would would include stating that Ethan Klein and his wife Hila Klein supported the Palestinian cause.Samsen rejected Klein's terms and sent him a counteroffer demanding reimbursement for his legal fees, stating he would not apologize or sign a confidentiality agreement and would only remove videos in which he had specifically discussed the lawsuit. Klein's team did not respond to that counteroffer. Instead, a few days later, Klein filed to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice, meaning the legal dispute is permanently over and cannot be refiled. In the new video posted by Samsen, he stated that he doesn't know why Ethan Klein has dropped the lawsuit since Klein hasn't talked about it publicly or with him. Samsen also stated that the GoFundMe he had collected would be donated (to what seems like the victims of genocide in Gaza). Samsen said,"And we also get to donate the money we raised for my legal defense, which after subtracting the fees should still be about $100,000."Since GoFundMe is still taking time reviewing the money, it hasn't reached Samsen yet. He encouraged his viewers to donate to Project Sarsur for the time being if they wanted to help. The donations to the Sarsur project will go to Ahmed, who will be using the money to help the people suffering in Gaza. Ethan Klein has not yet publicly stated why he dropped the lawsuit.Stay tuned for more updates. For more articles like this, follow Soapcentral.
