R&B singer Nivea has revealed her blood cancer diagnosis during an appearance on the Cadillac Chronicles interview series.
The 44 year old artist shared that she has been undergoing treatment and that progress has been positive so far. She expressed gratitude, stating:

She added that she was “very grateful for life” and credited God for carrying her through the treatment. She is currently pursuing her musical interests and is learning audio engineering.

Nivea talks about her blood cancer diagnosis on Cadillac Chronicles
In her candid discussion on Cadillac Chronicles, Nivea highlighted the importance of prioritizing the well-being of her children alongside her personal and professional aspirations.
The Don't Mess with My Man singer noted that her recent diagnosis has brought clarity to her life priorities. She said during her appearance:
“It’s so cliche to say, you know, you don’t know the time nor the hour, but it’s true, and it just helped me put a lot of things in perspective”.
Nivea has been dedicating her time to her children. She has four children including her daughter Navy, twin sons London and Christian and son Neal.
She shares three children (Navy, London and Christian) with her ex-husband, and singer Terius "The-Dream" Nash. They were married from December 2004 until their divorce was finalized in 2008. He produced and shaped tracks for the reality star's album Complicated.
Their daughter Navy was born in May 2005 and twins London and Christian were born in April 2006. She also shares her son, Neal with Lil Wayne. He was born in November 2009. The couple have been in an on and off relationship including two engagements.
Nivea and Lil Wayne began their relationship around 2002 and got engaged but it was later called off when Wayne reconciled with and married Toya Wright in 2004. Wayne and Nivea got back together in 2007 following her divorce from Dream. When the Complicated singer was pregnant with their son, Neal, she found out Lauren London was also pregnant with Wayne’s child.

During an exclusive interview with Page Six in 2023, Nivea confirmed that both the fathers of her children, The Dream and Lil Wayne, offered their complete support for her participation on Peacock’s reality dating show, Queens Court.
Regarding her conversation with the Lollipop rapper, she said:
“I told Wayne about it. He was like, ‘Oh, wow, do your thing. I know it’s going to be a great experience. He was just cheering me on.”
Concerning her former spouse, Dream, she said:
“Dream was like, ‘Oh, wow, this is crazy. You’re gonna make everyone laugh!’ And they were just very supportive and I think, like me, like, ‘Who knows what could come out of it? Why not?’”
Queens Court aired in 2023 and featured the Laundromat singer alongside Tamar Braxton and Evelyn Lozada. She ultimately chose to focus on self-love rather than advancing with a suitor. She explained that the show:
“helped me get to a place where I realized that I was OK with being alone and it really launched me into my self-love journey, which I’m so grateful for.”
Nivea has released four studio albums to date. She made her debut with her self-titled album in 2001. It was followed by Complicated and Animalistic as her second and third studio albums. Mirrors, released in 2019, is her fourth full-length project.
