"Food trays now come half full": Andrew Tate shares update on alleged mistreatment at FDC Miami after ‘roach infestation’ claims

Andrew Tate has posted about his described experience at Federal Detention Center Miami, following earlier claims about the alleged conditions inside the facility. On September 19, the internet personality claimed in an X (formerly Twitter) post:

"My food trays now come half full and stone cold."

Tate has previously also spoken about the conditions at FDC Miami, claiming that his cell had a roach infestation, which added to his complaints about his time at the facility.

Andrew Tate's brother, Tristan Tate, is also being held at FDC Miami. The brothers have been held at the facility since they were arrested in July. They are currently fighting extradition to the UK, where they face multiple charges that they have rejected.

Sharing the update on X, Andrew Tate wrote that his food trays are coming in smaller portions and are served cold. In another line, he claimed that FDC Miami is punishing him for his public statements.

Two days ago, Tate uploaded another lengthy X post talking about his "deteriorating" situation while mentioning a roach infestation. Speaking about the condition of the cell he was moved to, Tate wrote that he was moved to another cell in the same SHU unit, which he described as being in much "worse condition" than his previous cell. He further claimed that there is no hot water or air conditioning in the new cell he has been moved to.

He further continued:

"I have a serious roach infestation"

According to Tate, around ten to fifteen roaches were visible on the walls and ceiling at any one time. Tate also described the new cell as having very cold water and being dirty.

In the post, Tate spoke about the treatment he allegedly received from the guards, claiming that he has always been respectful to the staff but that his concerns about his conditions have been ignored. He further claimed that a senior staff member refused to speak with him and that guards had previously handcuffed him and his brother while they were outside their cells.

Andrew Tate's attorney, Joseph McBride, has also responded to the claims in a statement as reported by Newsweek, where he said that:

"Legal action concerning the conditions at FDC Miami is imminent, and we intend to pursue every available remedy."

Before describing the account of his experience regarding the food situation, Andrew Tate also wrote about the alleged conditions at FDC Miami in another X post, where he claimed that the Society for the Protection of Animals would protest if dogs were kept in the same FDC Miami conditions. He further claimed that people who have not been convicted of any crime were allegedly being held in such conditions. He added that, according to him, the situation would eventually come to an end.

Andrew Tate also asked people who believe they have faced illegal punishment at FDC Miami to contact his lawyer, Joseph McBride, while alleging that the facility has violated the rights of people held there.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons also responded to the allegations in a statement to Newsweek, stating that FDC Miami follows federal rules, policies, and procedures for the care and custody of people in its facilities. Responding to the claims made by the Tate brothers, they reportedly wrote:

"Their allegations have been addressed in federal court filings, including the government's response to their claims."
