Former Ethan Klein commentator, creator of Psychology in Seattle, opens up about harassment by H3H3 fanbase over his criticism of YouTuber

Former commentator of Ethan Klein, Dr. Kirk Honda, who is the creator and host of the podcast Psychology in Seattle, has recently opened up about the harassment by H3H3 fans he faced for his criticism of the YouTuber. Klein has been in the news lately because his wife, Hila Klein, recently revealed in a statement on Instagram, that he had been unfaithful to her and had a six-month extramarital affair.

Dr. Honda revealed that he faced so much harassment from the H3H3 fans that he had to delete his Instagram and TikTok accounts. Moreover, when he reached out to Ethan Klein regarding the matter, he was asked to delete his account.

Dr. Honda opens up about harassment from Ethan Klein's fans

In 2025, Dr. Kirk Honda made a video where he analyzed content surrounding Ethan Klein, specifically reacting to claims and narratives presented by iDubbbz (such as in a Content Cop release). In response, some extremely vocal H3H3 fans targeted Dr. Honda with intense harassment on his social media platforms.

Dr. Honda released a recent video on his Youtube channel, Psychology in Seattle, trying to help Ethan Klein fans, who might be feeling grief and sadness over what happened in Klein's personal life, as it has also led to the H3H3 podcast going on hiatus indefinitely. In the video, Dr. Honda also opened up about what exactly happened last year.

He revealed that after he posted the psychological commentary, some fans of Ethan Klein and the H3H3 podcast extracted 10 seconds of the video and misconstrued it to appear as something else. Ethan saw that, and as Dr. Honda claims, Ethan posted something negative about him, which led to his fans targeting Dr. Honda.

Dr. Honda said he initially reached out to Ethan Klein to apologize for any misunderstanding, explaining that his intention had been to help rather than attack him. However, he soon began receiving abusive messages and threats from people who accused him of criticizing Ethan.

As the attacks continued, Dr. Honda contacted Ethan again to explain that his video had been misrepresented. He said he had already apologized and did not intend to justify the harassment Ethan had experienced.

Ethan initially assured him that they were on good terms, but the situation escalated after Ethan made a public post about him, which Dr. Honda believed drew further attention from Ethan's audience.

Dr. Honda repeatedly asked Ethan whether he had watched his video, explaining that his comments were sympathetic toward Ethan. He also urged Ethan to watch a short clip showing iDubbbz crying while expressing sorrow for him, hoping it might help the two reconcile. However, Ethan eventually admitted that he had not watched the video and had relied on what others told him. He also refused to watch the specific clip Dr. Honda shared.

As the online harassment continued, Dr. Honda asked Ethan for advice on dealing with the attacks. Regarding what Ethan told him, Dr. Honda said:

"And he suggested that I delete my accounts. And I did. Because that would end it, at least. Most of it was through Instagram. Most of the attacks and the bullying were through Instagram."

Moreover, Dr. Honda claimed that Ethan Klein also said:

"You should take down your video, and you should publicly apologize for what you said about me."

Although he acknowledged that he might not have researched the situation thoroughly enough before commenting, Dr. Honda felt he had already apologized for any lack of clarity. He decided not to issue another apology because he did not believe he had said what people were accusing him of saying.

Dr. Honda ultimately chose to move on without discussing the incident publicly. He said he felt unsafe speaking about Ethan Klein because the harassment continued despite his attempts to clarify his intentions and apologize.

He explained that he had remained silent because he did not want to face further attacks and had plenty of other subjects to discuss. Dr. Honda added that he chose to speak about Ethan Klein again because the news of him cheating on his wife came out recently. He explained that he wanted to send out a compassionate message to Klein's fans.

Moreover, Dr. Honda also expressed that he doesn't harbor any negativity towards Ethan Klein and hopes he and his family recover from their current crisis in peace.
