On October 3, Lindsay Lohan uploaded a video on Instagram where she is seen sitting and writing notes, a familiar background as seen in the movie. When she is asked what day it is, she replies, "It’s October 3rd." She then looks at the camera and winks.

In Mean Girls, Cady Heron develops a crush on Aaron Samuels, played by Jonathan Bennett, after meeting him at school. Aaron was Regina George's ex-boyfriend, and Cady is warned by Regina's friends to stay away from him because of their past after she confesses to having a crush on him. At the beginning of the movie, Aaron asks Cady for a pencil while they are sitting in class.

Around twenty-four minutes into the movie, Aaron asks Cady what day it is. She looks at him with a smile and tells him,

"It’s October 3rd."

Narrating the story, Cady reveals that about two weeks later, Aaron speaks to her once again when he sits near her and tells her that it's raining. Cady's crush on Aaron eventually becomes a bigger part of the movie, especially because he is Regina's (played by Rachel McAdams) ex-boyfriend.

Lohan's new video, posted on Instagram, shows her saying the famous line just like she did in the movie. By recreating the scene and sharing it on October 3, the actress brought back one of the most memorable moments from Mean Girls over two decades later.
