Donald Trump reportedly admitted something unusual about himself during his White House event and confessed he had gone through severe problems. When he realised that the press would interpret it, he immediately diverted the concern by throwing a joke at his former personal criminal defence lawyer, Todd Blanche, because he didn't want the media to get involved in his health issue. Mediaite reported that while speaking about his administration's support for providing first responders with Narcan, the President suddenly remarked,

"If you don't drink, or if you don't take drugs, or if you don't smoke, there's no problem. I have other problems. I have some very severe problems. But those are not among them. I don't want to add them to the list."

Soon after, the President tried to take back his words because he felt that the press was going to ask about his current health issues. According to 9 News, Trump later joked that the press would ask what problem he had and try to figure it out. Therefore, he set himself up for that situation.

Trump compared drug use with alcohol and smoking and stressed that abstinence was the only solution. He mentioned that he had avoided those habits and admitted that he faced other serious problems.

During a Rose Garden event on Thursday, Donald Trump confessed that he had very serious problems. The President said that he signed the Support Act to help first responders by giving them more Narcan, and that the Narcan saved lives. He mentioned that new Narcan-type products that he believed were even better were coming soon.

The President hosted a lunch to honour first responders, and during the gathering he mentioned that he didn't drink alcohol. Trump said,

"I have friends, they drink, and they have a real hard time. You know, they're addicted, they have a real hard time staying away, and drugs probably even more so."

Donald Trump mentioned that he had friends who drank alcohol, and they struggled a lot. He explained that some of them were addicted, and they found it very difficult to stay away from drinking. Trump further added that drugs were probably an even bigger problem for them.

The President explained that if a person didn't drink, take drugs, or smoke, then the person would not face any problem. He said that he had other problems and described them as very severe. He added that he didn't want to add those health issues to his list.

Donald Trump predicted that the media would make the news about his problems

Trump asked Todd Blanche whether he understood what he had said and repeated that he didn't want to add those problems to the list. He believed that if he had added those issues, he would not be there at that moment. The President joked that Todd would have to defend him because reporters would claim that he had a serious problem and would ask what those problems were. Trump said,

"The press is going to say 'What problem does he have?' Let's figure that out."

He added,

"I probably set myself up for that one."

The President tried to cool down the room by saying that he was only having fun with the media, whom he described as wonderful people.
