Popular American actor Dean Cain, known for his 1990s portrayal of Superman, shared his take on the killing of Alex Pretti by ICE agents. On Monday, the actor joined TMZ for an exclusive interview where he spoke about the killing of Alex Pretti by ICE agents. According to the actor, Pretti caused his death by trying to ‘impede’ law enforcement officers from doing their job.“Well, that could be determined later by an investigation for sure. I don't see… I don't know all of the events leading up to this moment. I do know that law enforcement, certainly ICE, and border patrol have been under a tremendous amount of pressure and attacks, and they are getting tremendous abuse from what I completely believe is a 100% organized opposition. Very, very, actually pretty sophisticated. And I think we'll uncover that as it goes on.”He continued:“And I think you know, unless you are there in the moment with these agents, it's hard to understand, but if someone is committing a felony, which would be obstructing law enforcement, ICE, um, federal agents from doing their job, impeding or obstructing that's a felony. Perhaps they were just trying to take him down at that point in time. He certainly wasn't there just being a peaceful protester, and it was a very bad idea to engage physically with federal law enforcement while armed.” View this post on Instagram Instagram PostDean Cain added:“His standing between law enforcement officers and that woman; that's a mistake in its own right, and doing it while armed is a bad, bad idea. I think once the signal chat things come out and the Department of Justice gets a chance to review the body cams of all of these agents who are probably wearing body cams, I think we will have a much clearer picture.”Dean Cain also blamed the city’s leaders, who he claimed are anti-ICE.“And the truth of this is it really falls on the shoulders of governor Waltz, Mayor Fry and all the city and state officials who are not cooperating with ice and who are calling them Gestapo and modern day Nazis, that rhetoric is emboldening people and they are telling them tonfighy them in the streets and do these things. That is the root cause of the problem. Sanctuary cities are a big part of it. Let ICE come and get these criminals out of jail.”Dean Cain joins ICE as an honorary officerLast August, Dean Cain announced that he would be sworn in as an honorary ICE officer. The Department of Homeland Security announced in a statement:“Superman is encouraging Americans to become real-life superheroes by answering their country's call to join the brave men and women of ICE to help protect our communities to arrest the worst of the worst.” View this post on Instagram Instagram PostBefore then, Dean Cain had been very vocal about his support for the enforcement agency, even helping them with recruitment.“I put out a recruitment video yesterday - I'm actually a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer - I wasn't part of ICE, but once I put that out there and you put a little blurb on your show, it went crazy. So now I've spoken with some officials over at ICE, and I will be sworn in as an ICE agent asap,” the actor said in an interview with Fox News.Adding:“People have to step up. I'm stepping up. Hopefully, a whole bunch of other former officers, former ICE agents will step up, and we'll meet those recruitment goals immediately, and we'll help protect this country.”Also read: Target Center crowd chants "F*ck ICE" after observing a moment of silence for Alex Pretti before the Minnesota Timberwolves basketball game
