American artist, former attorney, and businessman Hunter Biden has reacted to the ongoing Jared Kushner controversy. Earlier this week, actor-advocate Casey Murphy wrote on Threads:“Jared Kushner’s phone is the real Hunter Biden’s laptop.”Hunter, who is the second son of Joe Biden, commented under Murphy’s post by writing:“More like 3 to 4 billion Hunter Biden Laptops.”Hunter Biden reacts to Jared Kushner controversy. (Image via Threads)In 2020, three weeks before the presidential election, the New York Post published an article with the contents of a laptop allegedly belonging to Hunter Biden. They reportedly revealed shady business dealings implicating Hunter and explicit details of his personal life. The contents could not be independently corroborated. However, they were leaked to the Post by Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani and former chief strategist Steve Bannon.Reports also claimed that the laptop was found at a repair shop in Wilmington, Delaware, which Hunter Biden denied. Since then, the laptop has been at the center of several controversies and investigations related to the Biden family, including Hunter’s 2024 federal firearms case and the House Oversight Committee’s probe led by chair James Comer.More about the Jared Kushner controversy amid Hunter Biden's digLast week, Vanity Fair published an excerpt from Matthew Cole’s latest book Princes and Thieves: Jared Kushner and Mohamed bin Zayed’s Secret Plot to Remake the Middle East. Cole, who is a freelance investigative journalist, wrote about alleged financial crimes of Kushner tied to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Israel, tracing back to 2017.Jared Kushner is married to Ivanka Trump. Nine years ago, he was the director of the Office of American Innovation and a senior advisor to his father-in-law Donald Trump during his first presidency. Kushner is currently the U.S. Special Envoy for Peace.According to Cole’s book, the UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman planned to open a slush fund worth $10 billion to help Trump with his foreign policy goals. However, when that plan fell through, the Middle Eastern royals opened two secret bank accounts dubbed “Alpha” and “Beta,” and Jared Kushner allegedly took charge of them.“Alpha” was allegedly worth $750 million and was opened by Mohamed bin Zayed’s brother Tahnoon bin Zayed, who was then-chairman of the First Abu Dhabi Bank. This account was allegedly used to fund a foreign warlord, a few mercenary groups, and hitmen.“Beta,” set up by Mohammed bin Salman, was worth $1 billion and was allegedly used to finance similar shady dealings.Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu purportedly discovered the scheme and urged Jared Kushner to deposit his funds in the Israeli Central Bank.Russian foreign military intelligence agency GRU reportedly learned about Kushner’s alleged connections to the Middle Eastern leaders and “hacked” into his phone. Around this time, a GRU operative was traveling via the Netherlands to the United Kingdom on a “spy mission” and was arrested by the Dutch authorities, who gave them two choices: to work for the Netherlands Defense Intelligence and Security Services or be apprehended by British authorities. When the Russian spy agreed to help the Dutch, the latter learned about Jared Kushner’s alleged affairs and got a “live feed” of his phone, which tracked all his alleged interactions with the leaders of Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.Jared Kushner has denied the allegations in Matthew Cole’s book. In a lengthy post on X, he wrote on Friday:“@VanityFair posted an excerpt from a book containing outrageous and categorically false allegations. The allegations made by this author are completely insane and never happened. We denied every one of these claims on the record, yet the author failed to provide a single shred of evidence to substantiate any of them.”According to Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Cole failed to provide bank statements, account numbers, wire transfer records, and transaction dates to support his “extraordinary” allegations. Jared Kushner continued to write:“During the period in question, I was one of the most scrutinized people in the world, subjected to intense media coverage, multiple congressional investigations, and a special counsel investigation. I voluntarily cooperated with these investigations, providing over 30 hours of testimony. None of these allegations ever surfaced, because none of these events ever happened.”Kushner called the accusations “outrageous fabrications being presented as investigative journalism.” He added:“This is not journalism. It is a mixture of fantasy, fiction, and advocacy, written by someone who is either deeply disturbed or acting with sinister intent.”Jared Kushner’s attorney Chad Mizelle claimed that before publication of Matthew Cole’s book, his team sent Simon & Schuster a “detailed 13-page letter responding to and categorically denying the extraordinary allegations” made against his client and “challenging the total absence of supporting evidence.” Mizelle has since put Vanity Fair on legal notice. On Monday, Cole appeared on The Daily Show and shared an email from Mizelle with host Jon Stewart. It read:“Mr. Kushner never accessed foreign accounts and always followed all rules and regulations, and only pursued goals that were in the best interest of the United States, as directed by the President of the United States.”Meanwhile, Donald Trump told reporters last week that the controversy was “fake news” and the allegations against Jared Kushner are “totally false” and “totally incorrect.”
