“I feel better thanks”: Christina Ricci reacts to Andrew Tate tweet bemoaning Cannibal neighbor in solitary confinement 

Christina Ricci has reacted to Andrew Tate’s recent tweet in which he lamented about his cannibal neighbor in solitary confinement.

On July 23, Tate posted about the conditions of his detention in Miami on X and wrote:

“I am being held in SHU, the highest level of security which exists. No commissary. No visits. No contact with the outside world. My neighbor is a cannibal who screams throughout the night.”

Andrew and his brother Tristan were arrested by U.S. authorities on July 18. Their arrest comes after the British authorities issued 38 new charges against the two.

A Threads user shared the controversial influencer’s tweet suggesting it might bring “little joy” to some readers. Ricci replied:

“I feel better thanks!”

Ricci’s four-word comment has since gone viral and has received a positive response, with many praising her sharp wit and humor. She has cultivated a reputation among many of her fans for being vocal on social issues.

Reflecting on Christina Ricci’s experiences with private abusers in light of Andrew Tate’s SHU tweet

After Christina Ricci recently responded to Andrew Tate’s viral SHU tweet, her past commentary on sharing personal experience with abusers portraying them as “awesome guys” has resurfaced.

In September 2023 Ricci posted a statement on her Instagram Stories addressing how individuals perceived as “awesome guys” in public can be abusers in private.

Her statement came after actors Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis wrote letters in support of Danny Masterson who had been reportedly sentenced after being convicted on two counts of forcible r*pe. The Yellowjackets star wrote:

“So sometimes people we have loved and admired do horrible things. They might not do these things to us and we only know who they were to us but that doesn’t mean they didn’t do the horrible things and to discredit the abused is a crime.”

She continued:

“People we know as ‘awesome guys’ can be predators and abusers. It’s tough to accept but we have to. If we say we support victims — women, children, men, boys — then we must be able to take this stance.”

Ricci continued her message in a follow-up story where she wrote that she has known "lots of 'awesome guys' who were lovely to me who have been proven to be abusers privately."

According to a report in PBS, Andrew Tate and his brother were arrested in Miami on r*pe and s*x trafficking charges against them.

Andrew, aged 39, is a former professional kickboxer and self-described misogynist. He has more than ten million followers on X. He has been banned from social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram and TikTok for hate speech.

Reportedly, Andrew Tate has been charged with seven further counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and 19 additional charges related to offences involving indecent images of a child and extreme pornography.

Andrew’s brother, Tristan Tate, is also a former kickboxer and an influencer. The brothers are notoriously known for promoting extreme wealth, hyper-masculinity, and misogynistic views. Tristan, aged 38, has been charged with one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.

The allegations pertain to offenses which were allegedly committed between July 2010 and August 2017.

A report published in The Guardian stated that the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said that the new charges supplement earlier UK charges, bringing the total number faced by the brothers in the UK to approximately 59.

Both Andrew Tate and his brother are being held in federal detention at the Federal Detention Center in Miami. They have appeared in U.S. federal court for initial extradition proceedings and are contesting extradition to the UK. They have reportedly denied all allegations and described them as politically motivated.
