Whoopi Goldberg has been named in the Epstein Files. The actor and comedian revealed in a recent episode of The View that her name is present in the files. Her name and an email sent from someone whose name is redacted in the release to Epstein, asking if he would offer his G2 for Goldberg to go to an event in Monaco.Goldberg's travel was being arranged by Julian Lennon's charity, the White Feather Foundation, which was hosting the event in Monaco in question. The charity did not want to charter and was instead looking for privately owned planes.Whoopi Goldberg read directly from the correspondence after revealing that information:"Now, in the name of transparency, can you put up… my name is in the files. It says, ‘Whoopi needs a plane to get to Monaco… Julian Lennon’s charity is paying for it. They don’t want to charter so they’re looking for private owners. Here’s the info. And they give all the information and they’re saying, do you want to offer your G2."Two of the other cast members present on the show, Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar, noted the request had been turned down by Epstein, with Behar questioning if just about anyone can be named in the file. Goldberg responded by saying that is exactly her point:"This is my point because, when I tell you people are trying to turn me into. I wasn’t his girlfriend. I wasn’t his friend. I was not only too old, but it was at a time where this is just not…. You used to have to have facts before you said stuff."More on Whoopi Goldberg's comments regarding her name being in the Epstein filesWhoopi Goldberg later went on to say, when Behar noted that Donald Trump is named thousands of times in Epstein files, that she just wanted to clarify things about her name being dragged into the files and the speculation surrounding that, stating that she did not fly on the plane:"I can’t speak to him, but I’m speaking about me because I’m getting dragged. People actually believe that I was with him. It’s like, honey, come on. Every man I’ve ever been with you’ve known about ‘em because either the Enquirer wrote about it, people wrote about this stuff. And, no, I didn’t get on the plane, because you know what I would have to do to get on the plane?"Derrick Evans @DerrickEvans4WVLINKWhoopi Goldberg addresses her name in the Epstein files on The View and makes the key point: being listed proves nothing. Joy Behar says “anybody can be on this list,” and Whoopi adds, “I wasn’t his girlfriend… I wasn’t his friend.”Following that, Sara Haines, another cast member of the show, added that it appeared people's names can appear through third party acquintances or just being mentioned in the files as correspondence between other people and any number of other reasons, noting how wealthy people can cross paths in various circles and there was nothing unusual about it.Haines went on to state that she personally was looking for how closely someone named in the files was associated with Epstein and for how long, adding that no is above scrutiny and that the system should not protect the powerful:"Nobody wants to know that young girls were victimized and because of power and money, people turned their cheek. Was this covered up? No one should be above scrutiny. No amount of status should soften abuse. And no system should protect the powerful over victims. That’s the problem."This is not the first time Whoopi Goldberg's name has been associated with Epstein. In 2024, there were rumors that Whoopi Goldbergfrequented the late s*x offender's infamous island. Those rumors were shut down by Whoopi Goldberg, with the actor saying she does not travel anywhere.
