Reportedly, the singer denied knowing the teen's whereabouts or that she was a minor, claiming that she had lied about her age. While Hernandez returned two days later, her family confiscated her phone. But the singer allegedly paid one of her classmates $1,000 and got her a new phone to continue their relationship.Prosecutors believe that while Celeste Rivas Hernandez and Burke had broken their relationship by November 2024, they stayed in contact and continued their s*xual relationship. However, the teenager started getting frustrated by this arrangement, as evident in her March 2025 text message, where she wrote this:"All we do is have s*x and just hang out man I want more than that for myself.''Seeds of Celeste Rivas Hernandez's murder were sown when she started getting jealous of D4vd's relationships with other women. The nine-page brief revealed that the teenager even confronted the singer-songwriter on April 22, 2025 (a day before her murder), through lengthy text messages. As a final resort, an extremely upset Hernandez “threatened to disclose damaging information about her relationship” with the singer to end his career and destroy his life.The prosecutors also painted a chilling picture of Celeste Rivas Hernandez's final moments. After their lengthy argument, D4vd reportedly arranged for an Uber to take her from her home in Lake Elsinore to his home in the Hollywood Hills.
