Nathan Fielder was invited to stay with Elizabeth Holmes

A major twist in You Can See Everything comes when filmmaker Nathan Fielder is invited by Elizabeth Holmes and Billy Evans to stay in their guest house with them and their children during the thirty-four days of filming. Fielder accepts their offer, though he and his crew later begin to feel uneasy about staying there.

As per a statement reported by Vanity Fair, Nathan Fielder also stated that his relationship with Evans became strained toward the end of filming. He explained that Evans tried to have more control over the project, which made the filmmakers uncomfortable and eventually led to a breakdown in communication.

Fielder claimed Evans approached the filmmakers and A24 executives about getting a share of the documentary's profits. Christopher Abbott plays Billy Evans in the reenactment of the scene.

Amanda Seyfried returns as Elizabeth Holmes

Another big surprise in You Can See Everything is Amanda Seyfried returning as Elizabeth Holmes, the Theranos founder. However, this is not the first time she has been seen playing Holmes' role. In The Dropout series, released four years ago, she played the same role. The actress also won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for the role.

This time, Seyfried's role goes beyond simply playing Holmes again. In the documentary film, she is seen reenacting Nathan Fielder's interactions with Holmes. She even joins him on a trip to Texas to meet Holmes' partner, Billy Evans.

Billy Evans' scene led to an R rating

In one scene from the documentary film, Holmes' partner, Billy Evans, appears fully naked while taking a shower. According to co-director Lance Oppenheim, Evans offered to shower and got undressed before Oppenheim could even respond. The scene also contributed to the film receiving an R rating due to the inclusion of graphic scenes.

Holmes' life changed dramatically after the Theranos fraud case, but her relationship with Evans continued, and the two became parents to their son William before she began serving her prison sentence.

Elizabeth Holmes claims she has never lied

The docufilm, You Can See Everything, also has an awkward moment when Nathan Fielder brings up the subject of lying with Elizabeth Holmes. When he asks if she has ever lied, Holmes says she doesn't think she has. Fielder then gives her a more everyday example, asking if she has ever made up an excuse to avoid social plans, basically a white lie. This time, Holmes admits that she probably has.

Even in the teaser of the film, she tells Nathan Fielder that she is not deceiving him and she has no reason to do that, which leaves Fielder unable to respond.

Amanda Seyfried's dinner with Billy Evans

Amanda Seyfried also joins Fielder for dinner with Evans. However, their conversation doesn't go as smoothly as planned. They disagree over Charlie Kirk, a political activist and entrepreneur who was assassinated on September 10, 2025.

The disagreement doesn't end there, as Seyfried also questions Evans' control over Holmes' personal life, including her social media accounts.

Evans takes care of Holmes' X account

The dinner also brings a new revelation about Holmes' social media account. Evans explains that he has been managing her X account while she is in prison, and he has been sharing posts without Holmes knowing about them.

However, Holmes seems to trust Evans completely. During a private prison visit, Fielder says he asked her about Evans posting on her behalf, and she seemed to be fine with it.
