Nicko McBrain, the former drummer of the English metal band, Iron Maiden, has recently expressed his views about President Donald Trump. McBrain retired from touring in 2024, but is still a member of the band as far as studio projects are confirmed.
McBrain has recently also published his memoir, Hello Boys And Girls! As he talked about the memoir, his career, and personal life, Nicko McBrain also spoke about Donald Trump and his government officials, saying:
"...they should be put in jail."
Iron Maiden's Nicko McBrain revealed what he thinks about President Donald Trump and his administration
Nicko McBrain recently gave an interview to UK's The Telegraph. While most of the interview revolved around what his memoir is about, his regrets, his career, and other topics, McBrain briefly talked about American politics as well. He revealed that he was invited to meet President Donald Trump, but refused to.
McBrain said:
"I was actually invited to go and play golf with him..."
McBrain continued:
"A friend of mine who's a massive Republican said, 'Oh, do you want to come and play golf with us? With the president.' And I said, ‘You f***ing what?’… and I just said, no. No mate."
At first this might look like he just has different political opinions than Donald Trump, but that's not the end of it. McBrain spoke on the matter a little longer, saying:
"I’m not politically inclined, although I must be because I have my thoughts about him. I’m not amused by the narcissism, and all this kerfuffle about the Epstein files and whatnot, and especially the debauched war that he’s put on Iran."
The controversy around the Epstein files is something that has greatly damaged the reputation of President Donald Trump. Moreover, since the accusations are yet to be proved to be right or wrong, there are more people who are skeptical about the president's role in Epstein's actions.
Nicko McBrain also talked about the United States Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth. Hegseth is facing articles of impeachment for allegedly waging unauthorized military actions in violation of the War Powers Resolution, including operations against Iran, Venezuela, and Yemen. These articles of impeachment are being introduced by lawmakers, led by Republican Rep. Thomas Massie and House Democrats.
President Donald Trump, the Department of Defense, and administration officials have defended Hegseth, claiming that the impeachment articles are politically motivated. While current Republican House leadership has bypassed immediate floor votes, the issue is far from resolved.
Nicko McBrain spoke about Hegseth, saying that he thinks that Hegseth should be put in prison. Additionally, McBrain spoke about Donald Trump and his government officials, saying:
"My last word on Trump and his bunch of cronies is, they should be put in jail."
McBrain thus isn't a fan of Trump or his government. This is, however, just Nicko McBrain's personal political opinion, something that he's entitled to. It doesn't mean that there's any active investigation into Trump or the Trump administration. Moreover, there aren't any signs that point towards anyone in the Trump administration facing jail time.
