On October 18, Candace Owens reacted to Cindy Crawford’s tribute to her late son Presley Gerber weeks after his death. The supermodel lost her son at the age of 27 on September 20. Cindy broke silence on Presley’s death and shared a post to honor her son via social media. In her post, Crawford wrote:“We are beyond heartbroken to lose our beloved son and brother. We feel so blessed to have had Presley in our lives for 27 years. He is a sweet, beautiful soul who loved and is loved, now and forever. We are so proud of how he showed up in the world, with kindness and vulnerability. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from so many who know and love our family and even strangers who feel our pain. Til we meet again our sweet boy. We love you forever, Mom, Dad and Kaia.”Candace Owens questioned why it took a month for Presley Gerber’s family to release a statement. She asked if Cindy and her family were ‘actually grieving’ after Presley’s passing amid their delayed statement. Candace Owens wrote:“It took them a month to even bring themselves to make a statement. I expected giggly zoom calls within days, plus an acknowledgement that they were “excited” about merch sales within two weeks. What were these people doing all this time? Actually grieving?”Candace Owens reacted to Kaia Gerber's post for Presley GerberPresley’s sister and model, Kaia Gerber, also shared an emotional post at the same time around her mother Cindy. She shared some childhood memories of her late brother, alongside a long note. Kaia Gerber wrote:"I don't have the words. and maybe the tiny mercy is that we didn't need them all along. words fail and words subtract and words summarize and words always lack truth. And how naive of me to believe that language could transcend grief. i've read all of the books and i have none of the answers. my articulation is no match against this, the magnitude of losing you."She added:"You know how much i loved being your sister. it has always been, and will forever be, my favorite thing about myself. i came into this world with a white-knuckle grip around you. i had more love for you than i knew what to do with. and now that it has nowhere obvious to go, i'm certain it's going to swallow me whole."Candace Owens also reacted to Kaia’s post and called it a ‘gut-wrenching’ letter. The political commentator said:"A gut-wrenching letter. Real grief. We all know it when we hear, see, or read it. It does not require a marketing department."For those unaware, Presley died on September 20 at a rehab facility in Santa Monica. Early reports suggested suspected drug overdose to be the cause of death, but official confirmation remains pending as of this writing.
