Superman: Man of Tomorrow is currently filming in Fayetteville, Georgia, and it is expected to continue for the coming months. Leaked set videos from the internet show the crew practising a scene in which the mob is rounding and beating someone. However, the most recent leaked set video also features David Corenswet in the Superman costume.

The video sees the Man of Steel in the classic Superman pose as it seems that he is saving some people from being crushed by something heavy. For those who don't know, Superman: Man of Tomorrow will see the hero team-up with someone he isn't keen to collaborate with to save Earth from the mysterious alien Brianiac.

Superman: Man of Tomorrow: What is David Corenswet doing in the leaked set video?

In the leaked Superman: Man of Tomorrow set video, we see Corenswet in costume holding an object covered in a blue material over his head. It should be noted that the object is made out of a lightweight material, which will be digitally replaced to make something heavy in the post-production process. We will get a clearer idea next July when Superman: Man of Tomorrow releases.

David Corenswet's physical performance in this scene will add to the tension when the VFX team replaces the lightweight material with something heavier. While this scene is a leaked set video and not official, James Gunn did tease something official yesterday, which has everyone hyped for Man of Tomorrow.

James Gunn revealed the first look of Lex Luthor's power armor:

Lex Luthor's Kryptonian power armor has been around for four decades as it was introduced in Action Comics #544 (1983). Now, we finally get the armor for the first time on the big screen. The color scheme of the armour is very similar to that of the comics, but with a notable addition. In the comics, Lex's head is exposed; however, the armor in the image above protects him.

This armor should help Lex fight alongside the hero in the sequel. James Gunn confirmed that Superman: Man of Tomorrow will see the Big Blue Boy Scout team up with his arch-nemesis to thwart off Brainiac's invasion of Earth. For those who don't know, in the comics, Brianiac has the power to shrink cities and collect them in a glass case on his ship.

Gunn described the plot of Man of Tomorrow like this in a The Howard Stern Show interview last year:

"It is a story about Lex Luthor and Superman having to work together to a certain degree against a much, much bigger threat. And it’s more complicated than that, but that’s a big part of it. It’s as much a Lex movie as it is a Superman movie.”

Then, he further added:

“I loved working with Nick Hoult, who played Lex; I relate to the character of Lex Luthor, sadly, so I really wanted to create something extraordinary with the two of them. Oh man, I just love the script so much; I’m excited for people to see the movie.”

Man of Tomorrow will release in theaters across the world on July 09, 2027.
