BBC's documentary Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret premiered on July 29, 2026. The documentary featured multiple women who have accused the Oscar-winning actor, Jared Leto, of s***al misconduct.
Among them, three women revealed that they were underage at the time of their alleged incidents. The 'incidents' have taken place between 2002 and 2016, when Leto, the frontman of the Thirty Seconds to Mars rock band, was in his 30s or 40s. Two former individuals who worked with the band revealed that the staff often felt uncomfortable with Leto's behaviour. They said that he would at times invite underage girls to his dressing room or to his house.

While another woman shared an instance of underage s*x with the actor in California. In BBC's latest documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret, two former crew members who worked with Leto's rock band, Thirty Seconds to Mars, for many years accused Leto of inviting teen girls backstage or to his house. One of them shared how there would be usually atleast two girls a day visiting Leto at a house where the band was practicing. They added how it made them quite uncomfortable, as one of them said (via BBC)

The award-winning rock band was formed in 1998 by brothers Jared Leto and Shannon Leto. They later expanded their band, adding guitarist Solon Bixler and bassist Matt Wachter. The band rose to fame with its second album A Beautiful Lie. As of now, only the Leto brothers are the band's official core members, and they will be touring the UK and Europe next spring.
What are the allegations made against Jared Leto in the BBC documentary?
BBC revealed that a total of 10 women have spoken in the documentary, where nine of them shared their allegations against Jared Leto publicly for the first time. Four of them have accused him of criminal s**ual misconduct.
In Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret, a woman claimed she was s**ually assaulted at the age of 17 in a motel's washroom by Leto. The woman said that she initially agreed to meet him in a hotel after she helped him and his friends at the Las Vegas store where she was employed. However, Leto took her to a dingy motel's washroom and forced himself on her.
A second woman claimed that she was s****lly assaulted at the age of 19 at a hotel.
The third woman revealed she was 17 when she had s*x with the actor at his house in California. When she tried to have a conversation with him regarding her age being a concern, he apparently brushed it off.
Another woman came forward accusing the actor and rock band frontman of making s**ually explicit phone calls. The 16-year-old was apparently sent a non-disclosure agreement to prevent her from publicly talking about Leto. However, she refused to sign it.
A woman also claimed that the actor made lewd comments about her chest during an autograph signing event and then asked his bodyguard to take her backstage. The woman, who was only 14, said that her mother confronted him at that moment, but the actor made a derogatory comment.
Additionally, four women revealed in BBC's Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret that they received 'strange and sexual calls' from the actor. BBC claimed that several reporters have seen the pictures and messages that support the accusations.
Despite the accusations, Jared Leto has not responded to the accusations as of now. According to BBC's investigations, around 120 separate accusations were made relating to his conduct towards women. Last year, Los Angeles DJ Allie Teiliz posted on social media that the actor s**ually assaulted her when she was 17. In an article by Air Mail, nine women accused the actor of misconduct; however, he denied all accusations.
