Jennifer Lawrence is undoubtedly one of the most popular actresses of our generation, not only because of her talent but also because of her humor. The actress is known for her unapologetic and dry sense of humor, and fans have always hoped they'd get more of it.

Jennifer Lawrence wasn't on social media until yesterday, and to say fans are excited will be an understatement. After years of staying off social media, Lawrence has made an Instagram account, and her first post is already getting everyone's attention.

Jennifer Lawrence's first Instagram post

Even before making her first post, Jennifer Lawrence proved just how funny she is with her bio. When her account was first created, fans noticed that the username said @jlaw instead of her full name. In a clever way, Lawrence explained her username in her account's bio, saying:

"jenniferlawrence was taken"

She was thus already getting attention by just being on Instagram. Now, Lawrence has just made her first post, and it isn't a promotion of an upcoming project or campaign. It's just an unfiltered and unedited video of her speaking to her followers.

In the video, Jennifer Lawrence is seen without her hair or makeup done, presenting her authentic self. That authenticity is also evident in what she says in the clip. Lawrence says sarcastically:

"So yeah, I'm giving it a shot, and if anyone says anything negative, I will quit. Immediately. No questions asked. If anyone thinks something mean, I'll know, I'll know. Um and I'll quit."

Anyone who has observed Jennifer Lawrence in podcasts, talk shows, and interviews knows how honest she is about everything. Moreover, Lawrence is known for her dry humor, which is evident in what she says in the clip. At the time of writing this article, the post has received 1.3 million views, and the account has 967k followers, a number that is gradually increasing by the minute.

Along with the video, Lawrence has also posted a story that says:

"Please be mindful that any mean or aggressive comments can negatively affect the baby. It's me. I'm the baby."

Fans have been nothing but supportive in the comment section, sarcastically saying everyone should be kind to her and not say anything mean. Many are just shocked and happy that Lawrence is finally on a platform. Instagram (@instagram) even commented:

"omg welcome"

Lawrence's first post seems like the first of many that will be coming our way, and fans are understandably excited to see what else she posts.
