Jim Jones has a net worth of $400,000, as per Celebrity Net Worth. The rapper derives his fortune from his music career. He is well known for being part of The Diplomats hip hop collective, which he was a part of throughout its long years. He was first with the group from 1997 to 2007, then again from 2010 to 2015 for their first reunion period, and later from 2017 to 2025.

The Diplomats released a total of three albums, starting with Diplomatic Immunity in 2003, and then its follow-up, Diplomatic Immunity 2, in 2004. Their last album, Diplomatic Ties, was released in 2018. The first album from 2003 has a gold certification in the US, which is awarded for records selling about half a million copies.

Alongside his work with The Diplomats, the rapper also has a prolific solo career, having released several solo albums, as well as collaborating with artists such as DJ Drama, Hitmaka, and more throughout the years. These solo and collaborative works have also done relatively well over the years.

Alongside The Diplomats and his own solo career, Jim Jones also founded ByrdGang Records and introduced ByrdGang in 2017. He also co-owns a clothing brand called Vampire Life Clothing with Damon Dash.

Jones was one of the owners of the Richmond Roughriders, which later came to be known as the West Virginia Roughriders. The team has been dormant since 2021. The singer is also an actor, having appeared in the film State Property 2, as well as the reality TV show Love & Hip Hop: New York, among other appearances.

Jim Jones is also known for being part of the Let’s Rap About It podcast alongside Maino, Fabolous, and Dave East. All of these come together to form the picture of Jim Jones and the revenue streams he has had over the years. However, Jones has had financial trouble in the past, with him and his partner Chrissy Lampkin defaulting on mortgage payments on a New Jersey home, with the home eventually being foreclosed by the bank.

Now 50 Cent has come forward with an alleged video in which Jones attempts to break into his own studio, as well as a lease termination screenshot. The details are explored below.

50 Cent shares video of Jim Jones allegedly breaking into his own studio

50 Cent, on February 20, 2026, posted a video which allegedly shows Jim Jones trying to break into his own studio. The footage shows the person alleged to be the singer kicking the door of the alleged studio, with the video taken from a security camera in the hall.

Alongside the video, 50 Cent shared a screenshot of alleged lease termination paperwork in the same post. The paperwork stated that Jones had been served a fifteen-day notice for defaulting on payment, with the notice expiring on January 22, 2026, after which there was a five-day termination notice.

50 Cent captioned the post, saying that it would not have happened if Jones were friends with him and asking if Jones wanted to be friends:

"Damn bro this wouldn’t happen if we was friends, wanna be friends? I don’t know let’s rap about it ! LOL."

Jones has seemingly responded to the video claim by 50 Cent by trolling him, posting a video on his Instagram page of him doing a karate chop on a wooden plank, with footage from The Last Dragon playing in the background, along with the words:

"Kunfu Jim is wht they call him lol. I need u good movie to watch on this big screen we got cable lol."

50 Cent has beefed with Jim Jones in the recent past, alongside the rest of the Let's Rap About It podcast crew. Earlier in December 2025, Cent made the viral claim that the crew of the podcast, including Jim Jones, were not paying rent for their studio. After the post went viral and drew some backlash from the podcast crew, Cent claimed that the crew had made a payment toward the due rent.
