Josh Brolin, who played Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, wants the character to face Robert Downey Jr.’s character, Doctor Doom. Brolin responded by saying:"To me, having been in that situation, with Robert (Downey Jr.) in that scenario, I would love a different scenario. I would love it. It would be great. And who wouldn't want to see it?"When asked who he thinks among them would win the battle, Brolin said:"Dude, does it matter what I say at this point? Leave the mystery. Embrace the mystery."While the Thanos we know is dead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the multiverse exists (which is at risk in Doomsday), and an alternate Thanos could be hypothetically introduced by Marvel if they really wanted to.Brolin is thus eager to play Thanos again and share the screen with his former co-star Downey, as their characters fight each other. However, Marvel fans have begun speculating that Brolin's statement suggests he might appear in Avengers: Secret Wars as Thanos. A clip of the interview has been posted by Rotten Tomatoes on Instagram, and fans have been predicting Brolin's MCU return in the comments.Since Brolin said what he thinks about the result of the potential fight doesn't matter now and he'd rather let it stay a mystery, fans are speculating that Thanos (most likely from a different universe) will appear in Secret Wars and fight Doctor Doom. While Thanos was a villain, and a notorious one at that, he was a wise and powerful character. He could capture the audience's attention effortlessly and genuinely worried the fans at the end of Infinity War.Fans would thus love to see a fight between Thanos and Doctor Doom. As we get closer to the release of Doomsday, fans are predicting who else might appear in the film and its follow-up, Secret Wars. Given Brolin's statement, fans are also speculating that Thanos might appear in Secret Wars too.Marvel or Josh Brolin has not officially confirmed that Thanos will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars.
