Jude Law will team up again with Black Rabbit's co-creator Zach Baylin for a new crime film with the help of his company Riff Raff Entertainment. The news was dropped today at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival. The title and story details are still under wraps. Law previously starred in and produced The Order with Nicholas Hoult and Tye Sheridan.
The production's co-founder Ben Jackson said the film is about a gateway driver who moves from point A to point B and then to point C while facing many obstacles along the way. Ben did not reveal the exact role of Jude Law but said that the story is inspired from The Order. The studio's TV head Katie Sinclair promised that fans will see Law to tackle unprecedented actions.

Jackson and Sinclair opened up working with Jude Law in the upcoming movie

Riff Raff's Katie Sinclair and Ben Jackson spoke this afternoon at the film festival's industry sidebar as keynote speakers. According to Jackson, the company is now developing two projects with writer Zach Baylin. The writer has previously collaborated with Law's company on Black Rabbit and The Order.
After explaining the film's plot, Jackson continued to explain that the film's concept came from Jude's enjoyable time working on The Order. That project had many car-chasing scenes, and Jude really enjoyed filming them. After finishing that work, they started brainstorming together, and later Zach wrote a strong script based on those discussions.
Sinclair said in the festival that it was exciting for the team because Jude had never taken on that kind of action role before. He explained that it shows Jude's wide ability as an actor and also marks a step forward for the company.
The project is bigger in scope, but it stays centered on character because Zach and Kate's writing always focuses on the people who drive the story. She further explained that casting Law makes the film different from others in the same genre. The team aims to deliver the strongest and most unique version of every genre they work on.
Jude Law's shift towards action-driven roles

The Order won strong praise from critics, who enjoyed the tense battle of wits between Law's agent Terry Husk and Nicholas Hoult's Bob Mathews. The film falls under the crime thriller genre, but its fast action scenes are broken up by slower scenes of investigation and planning.
In his new gateway driver project, Law is expected to play a more action-focused role, with a story that feels very different from both the 2024 film and Black Rabbit.
