Looksmaxxing YouTuber Connor Murphy believed that injecting gold into his body could give him special powers, according to TMZ. After his alleged death due to gold injection, his friend, Androgenic, shared details on his social media account about Murphy's unusual behavior during his final weeks. Murphy's death revelations intensified online speculation even though the authorities have not yet determined a specific cause.

Murphy was an American bodybuilder and fitness YouTuber known for his extreme looksmaxxing videos. He gained over 4 million followers by displaying his fitness and making parody content. Several of Murphy's friends expressed their condolences on social media.

Androgenic shared that Murphy became obsessed with gold and treated it as a secret resource. The YouTuber believed powerful people hid its true nature because it could give humans unusual powers.

Additionally, another one of his friends, Tony Huge, shared with TMZ that he warned Murphy about injecting liquid gold. He said,

How did Connor Murphy die?

After injecting cheap-quality gold, Connor Murphy's health quickly deteriorated, and his skin color started fading away. In the end, he suffered from bleeding issues, due to which he ran to his neighbors in distress until the police were called.

Murphy died on July 7 after running from police and entering a lake near a luxury house he was renting in Thailand's Samut Prakan province. Authorities later found his body in the water. Investigators are still waiting for autopsy and toxicology reports. Thai officials and medical authorities have not yet confirmed any claim about gold injections.

Androgenic said that he often believed Connor was misunderstood. He wanted his friend to prove himself to show people that he was not merely eccentric but someone who truly grasped life in a way most others did not. On social media, he said,

"I don't wish to emulate everything about him, but overall, Connor Murphy was one of the most interesting, intelligent, and amazing guys I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. May he rest in peace."

He further expressed how deeply he missed Connor and wished that he had never taken the path that led to tragedy. Despite everything, he admitted that he loved Connor and hoped that his friend has found peace in whatever exists beyond this life.

Another friend of Murphy, Tony Huge, told TMZ that he warned Connor about the large amounts of gold he was injecting. According to Huge, Murphy first began using medical-grade gold about a year ago, believing it would improve his skin tone and give him unusual strength. Later, he switched to cheaper gold purchased from jewelry shops in Thailand.

Huge further explained that Murphy claimed each injection made him feel stronger and happier. Over time, Murphy increased his consumption until he wanted to inject as much gold as possible. At first, Huge thought he saw positive effects, but he eventually realized the serious damage the gold was causing, only shortly before Murphy's death.
