Bruce Wayne is dying in the pages of DC Comics, but fans are not buying it. A few days ago, DC announced that the billionaire is dying in the pages of Batman #15, releasing on November 04, 2026. This move is just DC putting The Dark Knight through a wringer after the Bad Seeds event, where he is hunted down by Police Commissioner Vandal Savage, who commands a paramilitarized force.Written by Matt Fraction and drawn by Jorge Jiménez, Batman #15 is set right in the aftermath of Bad Seeds. The most unique thing about this storyline is that Batman has to solve Bruce Wayne's death. However, fans don't believe that Wayne is dying in the comic. One of the fans pointed out that this is not the first time the character has died in the comics:"Yea, like this hasn't happened before in Grant Morrison's run and then in Scott Snyder's run."No one believes that Bruce Wayne is dead: View this post on Instagram Instagram PostBoth Marvel and DC have a long history of killing off their heroes to shake up the status quo of their comics. One of the most prominent storylines in the 1990s was The Death of Superman storyline, which made headlines when the comic hit the shelves. One of the fans pointed to another DC comic called Superman: The Death of Clark Kent:"Sounds like the death of Clark Kent story from the 90’s post death of Superman"Another fan pointed out that The Dark Knight has died several times throughout the history of DC:Batman's "death" | Image Via: Instagram/@colliderAnother comment went on to say that this death would be undone as soon as possible:"Yeah yeah see ya in a year or two Bruce ✌🏾"Therefore, the reaction is broadly the same; no one believes that Bruce Wayne will die in the comic. Additionally, we know that the main plot of the comic is Batman solving the death of Bruce. Thus, there are three distinct possibilities with this comic:1. The real Bruce Wayne has died, and one of his Bat-Family members, one of the Robins, takes up the mantle of Batman.2. The "dead" Wayne is a duplicate, and the real Bruce decides to investigate this murder as Batman.3. It was all a trap to lure the assassins.Writer Matt Fraction had this to tease to Forbes at New York Comic Con's DC Booth:“I can absolutely guarantee you that in Batman #15, you are going to see Bruce Wayne get shot, and Batman will need to solve it. Neat trick. Good work if you can get it. So, maybe, I found a way to do a sort of murder mystery that Batman hasn’t done before.”Batman #15 comes on the heel of Bad Seeds: View this post on Instagram Instagram PostWhile the Absolute Batman comics are seeing unprecedented impressive sales and reception, the mainstream-universe Batman is relatively less discussed. But that doesn't mean the mainline Batman continuity is devoid of major events. Fraction is currently writing the Bad Seeds event, in which Batman is on the run from the law. The official synopsis of the comic event reads:"Gotham City’s new mayor, Pamela Isley, deserted by her allies both political and arcane, is about to make a last-ditch power play that will leave Gotham decimated by daylight. Having already declared war on the Bat-Family and flooded the streets with his private, paramilitarized police army, Police Commissioner Vandal Savage sees an opportunity to solve two problems at once."It further continues:"Storylines converge in Batman: Bad Seeds, a Gotham City event spanning one long, dark night in Gotham that threatens to turn the entire city into a hostile world of prehistoric plant life unlike anything on Earth for millennia, at a time when its greatest heroes are hunted and in hiding."Do you really think Bruce Wayne is dead?
