On the occasion of Batman Day (which takes place on the third Saturday of September), the director of the film, Matt Reeves, has shared the first image of Batman (played by Robert Pattinson) from the film.The image is of Batman, although it isn't evident where he is. Erik Messerschmidt, the director of photography of the film, is known for his work with shadows, lights, and colors, and how he uses them all to portray an image that conveys what's needed without overwhelming the viewer.Thus, instead of being an imposter, the image is most likely of Bruce, and we get such a close-up because such is the style of Reeves' Batman films. But since we don't know anything about the film's story, it's not possible to come to a definitive conclusion yet.
