The hype for Avengers: Doomsday is reaching a feverish pitch as the movie is just four and half months away from its December release date. Every week there is a plot speculation or theory about the characters that might appear in the movie. It should be noted that the upcoming MCU movie is the beginning of the end for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse Saga.

Marvel will close the book on the Multiverse Saga with Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, which is releasing next year in December. Therefore, expectations are high for Avengers: Doomsday, which is introducing not just a new Avengers team but also its different factions and a new villain, who will be seen for the first time, since the post-credit scene of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. But the most recent plot leak suggests a major retcon for the MCU.

Here are some important plot points in Doomsday according to this leak:

One of the most shocking revelations in the latest Avengers: Doomsday plot leak is that S.H.I.E.L.D. assassinated the 616 Victor Von Doom during the Cold War. This means that Robert Downey Jr.'s Victor Von Doom is from Earth-828, the same one we saw in last year's The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Howard Stark learns that Doom had a son, and he decides to adopt the child, Anthony. This retcon means that Tony was never really a Stark.

Avengers: Doomsday supposedly explains why Doom wasn't present during Sue Storm's speech in the first act of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It seems Doom was trying to repair the tears across Earth-828 caused by the incursion. The incursion emits cosmic energy that burns Doom's face (which he survives), but it kills his entire family, including his child.

Victor makes his way to the Baxter building, and the rest of The Fantastic Four: First Steps post-credit scene plays. As Doom reveals himself to Sue, he informs her that Earth-828 is about to be wiped out. As that happens, the Fantastic Four, Franklin Richards, and Doom escape on a rocket ship to Earth-616, leading to the Thunderbolts* post-credit scene.

Upon entering Earth-616, Doom is helping our heroes to stop incursions from reaching the MCU continuity. Doom and the Avengers even create a new armor using Stark tech and Victor's magic. Things seem fine, but Victor starts to dig up the history of Earth-616 when he learns that Tony is his 616 counterpart's son. Soon, he uncovers two shocking truths.

Firstly, he learns about S.H.I.E.L.D.'s role in the Earth-616 Doom's murder, and more importantly, he learns what caused the Earth-828 incursion in the first place.

Many believe that last year's The Fantastic Four: First Steps included a Steve Rogers cameo in the fifth minute of the movie. The scene in question features a man and his son watching television in which a cartoon featuring the Fantastic Four is playing. We never see them after that, but since then, fans have been theorizing that the man whose face isn't seen is none other than Steve Rogers.

The latest Avengers: Doomsday plot leak reveals that the TVA had transferred Steve and Peggy to Earth-828, resulting in the incursion.

Doom turns to the dark side because of these betrayals

Doom turns villainous upon learning about these two betrayals. He is especially incensed with Rogers for causing the destruction of Earth-828. In response to the betrayals, Doom utters the line about the MCU heroes living stolen lives, which we heard in the trailer.

Doomsday may take a page off Avengers: Infinity War and end with the destruction of almost all of the universes, forcing Victor Von Doom to build the Battleworld and rule over it in Secret Wars.
