Man of Tomorrow is one of 2027's most anticipated projects. The Superman follow-up is set to feature an exciting storyline with Brainiac as a villain. The sequel will be the first time we see the popular Superman villain on the big screen. Filming wrapped on the sequel two months ago, and it seems that Gunn and the rest of the team are working on post-production.

As the team works on the post-production, rumors continue to circulate about the summer blockbuster. One such rumor is about an eventful scene that would include multiple heroes. It should be noted that Man of Tomorrow features the return of Lanterns' John Stewart and Xolo Maridueña's Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle.

If this rumor is to be believed, the eventful scene would also give us a glimpse of the DCU Justice League.

A DCU fan called "truth31the1" posted a rumor on their Threads account stating that the Superman sequel will feature a scene with ten heroes. The fan account further described the rumored scene as an "event" and expressed excitement for the movie. In response, one of the comments expressed hope for the movie:

In fact, several other fans pointed out how DC fans described Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as "overstuffed":

Another fan who believed this rumor listed out all the possible cameos:

Thus, it seems that for now, fans are taking this as just a rumor. But simultaneously, they are hoping that this rumor is true, as Man of Tomorrow features the Justice Gang, John Stewart, and even Blue Beetle. Apart from Blue Beetle and John Stewart's Lantern, Adria Arjona's role is one of the most discussed aspects of the sequel.

Fans think that Adria Arjona is Wonder Woman:

As of now, Adria Arjona's role remains a secret. Initial rumors suggested that she was playing Maxima, a character that matches James Gunn's penchant for niche comic book characters. However, entertainment outlets soon corrected that she isn't playing Maxima in the movie, making fans believe that she is playing Wonder Woman.

However, it hasn't been confirmed that she is playing the iconic DC superhero in the movie. The only thing we know is that Arjona has undergone intense physical training for the role. She recently told ScreenRant:

“I have muscles that I’ve never had in my life. I’m training two to three hours a day on a crazy diet. Drinking coffee is the only thing that keeps me up. And I’m really excited!”

Her training description is why many fans continue theorizing that Adria Arjona is the DCU Wonder Woman, with her debut being Man of Tomorrow. Additionally, a new rumor suggests that another long-awaited DC hero will also cameo in the movie.

Another rumor suggests that the DCU Batman will be in the movie:

Comicbook.com posted a rumor this week suggesting that the DCU Batman will also appear in this movie. If this rumor is true, the rumored "event" scene would see the DCU Justice League for the first time as they unite to fight Brainiac and his invading forces. As of now, the DCU Caped Crusader remains uncast, and the script for The Brave and the Bold remains incomplete.

This rumor suggests that The Dark Knight's appearance in the Superman sequel will set up The Brave and the Bold.

What do we know about Man of Tomorrow?

The 2027 summer blockbuster is set to bring back almost all the players from the first movie. As that happens, the second movie pushes Superman to team up with Lex Luthor, his mortal enemy. The threat that forces the two enemies to unite is Brainiac, a character who is known for miniaturizing cities and adding them to his collection.

David Corenswet teased that Man of Tomorrow will examine Superman's relationship with Luthor in last week's PEOPLE interview. While discussing his experience of working with Nicholas Hoult, Corenswet said he was:

“Of course, spending time with Nick again and getting to delve into that relationship between Superman and Lex a little deeper.”
