New posters for Avengers: Doomsday clicked by a fan in an event are going viral. One of these images is that of the X-Mansion, the location associated with the X-Men. The mansion serves as the home of the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning in Marvel Comics.
This new mansion in the Doomsday poster is an old stone structure like what came before, but it is not the same as what we saw in the X-Men movies that came before. Instead, this new mansion was probably filmed somewhere in the UK, the location where most of Avengers: Doomsday was filmed.
Now we know what the new X-Mansion from Avengers: Doomsday looks like:
2000's X-Men used Casa Loma, which is located in Toronto. Then, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, Deadpool, and Deadpool 2 used Hatley Castle (Victoria, British Columbia) as the filming location for the X-Mansion. This new building is a Victorian stone structure that gives that familiar X-Mansion impression. But it adds stairs and a raised stone platform to the mansion.
Considering Avengers: Doomsday was filmed in the UK, we may get more details in the coming months as the movie nears its December release date.
What do we know about the X-Men's role in Doomsday?

2024's Deadpool & Wolverine gave numerical designation to the X-Men Earth: Earth-10005. This same Earth is set to appear in Doomsday. The upcoming Avengers movie will feature the return of Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, and Rebecca Romijn. All of these actors appeared in the early 2000s X-Men film franchise.
Avengers Endgame: Encore, the re-released version of Endgame, teased a dark storyline for the heroic mutant team. One of the post-credit scenes is set in the TVA as they notice Earth-10005 is firing missiles at another Earth that's heading to crash into the X-Men Universe. This suggests that the mutant team is destroying other Earths to survive the incursions.
If that's the case, we may expect to see this iconic version of the mutant team for the last time in Doomsday or next year's Avengers: Secret Wars.
What do we know about Doomsday?
Much like Avengers: Infinity War, which was the first half of the end of Marvel's Infinity Saga, Doomsday is the beginning of the end of the Multiverse Saga. The re-released version of Endgame revealed that the Marvel multiverse is collapsing. Thus, Doomsday will follow the Avengers and other heroes' attempts to solve the incursions. The official logline of the movie reads:
"'Avengers: Doomsday' follows beloved heroes from three distinct universes as they’re set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered."
Doomsday releases in cinema halls across the world on December 18, 2026.
