Fans have been speculating that these figures are Latverian witches. Moreover, fan theories also suggest that these witches will be revealed to be Wanda Maximoff, Clea, and Sylvie. View this post on Instagram Instagram PostThe new Avengers: Doomsday promo, however, features five figures in hooded robes that are of the same green color. They don't look like the three figures Doctor Doom is accompanied by in the promotional art released by Marvel. If they aren't the Latverian witches, they might be the Black Swans. The Order of Black Swans in Marvel Comics is a secretive, interdimensional order of female zealots and assassins who worship Rabum Alal. Rabum Alal was later revealed to be an alias secretly created and used by Doctor Doom. Created by Jonathan Hickman and Steve Epting, they first appeared in New Avengers (Vol. 3) #1 (January 2013).The first Black Swan encountered by the heroes of the main Marvel Universe is Yabbat Ummon Turru, who was the sole survivor of Earth-1365. She escaped her universe's destruction after it collided with another universe. Yabbat travelled to the Library of Worlds, a multiversal refuge created by the Beyonders, looking for refuge. There, she joined the Black Swans. The Black Swans worshipped a mysterious figure known as Rabum Alal. They believed that killing every version of the Molecule Man across the multiverse could prevent it from getting destroyed. They believed that these deaths could help save the remaining universes. View this post on Instagram Instagram PostHowever, Rabum Alal was actually the alias Doctor Doom adopted after discovering that the multiverse was falling apart. He created the Black Swans to carry out his plans across different universes. When Doom understood that the incursions could not be stopped, he changed the group's objective.Instead of focusing only on destroying the Molecule Men, the Black Swans began gathering information about their counterparts across the multiverse. Doctor Strange formed and led the Black Priests, a group dedicated to preventing catastrophic events like these.Their mission led to them facing the Black Swans. As both groups pursued different approaches to the developing issue of the incursions, their war became part of a larger struggle to determine the fate of the Multiverse. Thus, Black Swans are heavily involved with Doctor Doom's comics storyline, and it won't be surprising to see them in Doomsday. Since the promo doesn't confirm who these hooded figures are, all this is just a theory so far. The promo also featured Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, and David Harbour, who play Sam Wilson / Captain America, M'Baku, and Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian, respectively, in the MCU, and will be appearing in Doomsday.Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theatres on December 18, 2026.For more articles like this, follow Soapcentral.
