New Avengers: Doomsday theory explains Earth-616's origin, Doom's trump card, and a shocking Latveria twist

As Avengers: Doomsday is four months away from its December release date, fan theories continue to circulate online about the upcoming MCU epic. The latest theory goes on to map the origin of Earth-616, i.e., the MCU's prime Earth. It suggests that the Earth and the universe we have been following in the MCU were created by none other than He Who Remains, the Kang variant we met in the Loki Season 1 finale.

The Season 1 finale of Loki revealed a multiversal war among Kang variants, in which He Who Remains emerged victorious. It has been rumored for a while that He Who Remains was trying to write Victor Von Doom out of existence, and the original version of Avengers: Secret Wars would've set the Fantastic Four supervillain as the big bad of the next phase of the MCU.

However, Jonathan Majors's conviction led to Marvel cutting ties with the actor and pivoting hard to Doom with Avengers: Doomsday.

What are the new Avengers: Doomsday theories?

The latest Doomsday theory revolves around three important aspects: Earth-616's origin, Victor Von Doom's designs to take control of the Battleworld, and multiple Dooms.

Even if the next Avengers movie abandoned the Kang storyline, it seems Marvel is still somehow using the previous story. It seems that Kang curated the entire timeline of Earth-616. After winning the over his multiversal variants, He Who Remains created the timeline that we saw in the MCU from 2008.

Even though Loki Season 2 suggested that the God of Mischief sits on the throne by choice, this theory suggests that Loki's decision was already made by He Who Remains. This theory suggests that He Who Remains' influence in the Earth-616 timeline will be felt until Avengers: Doomsday. The trailers have confirmed that Doom is someone who has lost his family.

The Latverian ruler holds Kang and his variants, Steve Rogers, and Loki responsible for the incursion. Therefore, Doom would first hunt down all the Kang variants, and then the former Captain America, and even Loki. In fact, the last act of Avengers: Doomsday could be focused on Doom trying to dethrone and kill Loki, who is seated on the multiversal Yggdrasil, holding all the timelines.

Mirroring Avengers: Infinity War, Doomsday could end with Doom killing Loki and taking over his throne to remake the universe according to his liking.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps post-credit scene introduces Earth-828 Victor Von Doom. We see a cloaked Victor kneeling in front of Franklin Richards, who is four or five years old. The young boy is healing an unmasked Doom's face, but we don't see the visage.

Many believe that Doom will use Franklin Richards' powers to build the Battleworld, which would heavily feature in Avengers: Secret Wars. Moreover, Avengers: Doomsday will also get a chance to confirm that Franklin Richards is an Omega-level mutant who can warp reality to his will, just like in the comics. The theory also suggests that Franklin will be Doom's trump card.

Then, Doom uses Franklin to rewrite his family's dark fate. If that's impossible, Doom might even rewrite the reality where Franklin is his son, and Sue is his wife. Doom stole Reed Richards' life and family in the 2015 Secret Wars event comic. Doom's win in the end of Avengers: Doomsday could be setting up Reed and Doom's ultimate showdown in next year's Avengers: Secret Wars.

The shocking Doom twist

We have seen Robert Downey Jr.'s Doom in both trailers for Avengers: Doomsday. However, countless theories suggest that the Earth-828 Doom is not the only version of the Latverian ruler in the movie. Some rumors suggest that Doombots will be involved in the movie. Doombots are robot duplicates that Doom deploys to fight the Fantastic Four.

The inclusion of Doombots gives Marvel a chance to include actors other than Robert Downey Jr. If the Doombot theory is true, Marvel should consider casting two popular Doctor Doom fancasts: Cillian Murphy and Mads Mikkelsen. Mikkelsen has been linked to the role multiple times in the past, which is why he should be considered to play the iconic Marvel villain.
