A new Google Easter Eggs feature has been launched for Avengers: Doomsday. It is a promotional feature launched ahead of the film's premiere, but an interactive one.

The feature not only lights up the screen in a green glow, but leads users to a Marvel Quiz. Here's what it entails and how you can enjoy it.

Doomsday Google Easter Eggs lead to four different quizzes

It is not unusual for Google to release limited search page Easter Eggs ahead of a film's or show's release. We've seen interesting animation appear on our screens ahead of the release of The Last of Us, Pluribus, Stranger Things Season 5, and Squid Game Season 2, among others.

Now, via a post on Instagram, Google asked users to go search Avengers: Doomsday on the Google search bar to test their knowledge of the Marvel heroes we know and love. The post's caption said:

"You know the teams. You know the heroes. But how well do you really know the Marvel universe? 👀 Put your knowledge to the test. Search “Avengers: Doomsday” on Google."

If one actually does what the post says, they will see a small Doctor Doom icon appear at the bottom of the screen. After tapping on it, two metallic gauntlets belonging to Doctor Doom reach out across the screen toward four glowing superhero logos representing the factions he will fight in Doomsday: The Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and Black Panther (Wakanda).

If one clicks on any of the four faction logos except the X-Men, Gemini pulls up a 5-question Marvel trivia quiz specific to that team or hero. For the X-Men faction, Gemini pulls up a 4-question quiz. To move forward, one has to answer the questions correctly to defeat the faction and "clear" Doom's target list.

The questions are in MCQ style, and on the easier side if one has followed Marvel shows and films thoroughly. Once someone successfully completes all four quizzes, the screen shifts to the final reward: an active, real-time Doomsday countdown clock. The clock ticks down the exact seconds remaining until the film's theatrical release.

The quizzes help us brush up our Marvel knowledge a little, and it works as a promotional feature because it makes one anticipate what the next step is. It also sort of confirms that only the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and the Wakandans are going up against Doom.

Fan rumors and theories have speculated that the Guardians of the Galaxy or the Marvels might appear in the upcoming film in surprise cameos. However, the promotional feature doesn't hint at that possibility and at this time, confirms only the factions we already know are going to fight Doom.

The upcoming film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, and Jonathan Schwartz. Marvel Studios is the production company behind the film and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures is the distributor.

Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters on December 18, 2026.
