Tom Holland launched his premium non-alcoholic beer brand, Bero in October, 2024, inspired by his own sobriety journey. Holland has introduced a new line of shandy-style drinks under Bero.

The actor committed to sobriety in January, 2022, when he participated in Dry January. Dry January is a popular social movement where adults abstain themselves from alcohol for 31 days.

In a virtual interview with Forbes, Holland credited his mom and wife, Zendaya for the inspiration,

"The Shandy was kind of my mum's idea. Zendaya, bless her, has never been a drinker, so she's never drank beer. She didn't love the beers we have on sale."

Holland explained that Zendaya not liking the original flavors made him and the Bero team to look beyond traditional beer flavor profiles and come up with the current lineup which includes a hazy IPA and lager-style pilsner.

The limited-edition line features four new flavors; the classic lemon lime alongside grapefuit, elderflower and blueberry yuzu.

The line is set to go on sale in Target in June with a suggested retail price of $19.99 for a 12 pack. Each can promises less than 100 calories and combines 30% of Bero's Kingston Golden Pils with 70% lemonade and other fruit flavors.

More about Tom Holland's non-alcoholic beer brand

Tom Holland had launched Bero in 1,200-plus Target stores across the USA in January, 2025. Bero is born out of the actor's sobriety journey.

In an interview published in Men's Health in January, 2025, Holland opened up about his decision to quit drinking,

"I'm quite strong-willed. When I decide to do something, I'm really gonna do it. I leaned on close ones a lot: family, friends, old colleagues, new colleagues, people that reached out that I didn't know who also were sober."

Tom Holland mentioned that his lawyer offered him a "really poignant piece of advice" which helped him get through everything. The actor quoted his lawyer's advice which was,

"You'll never wake up the morning after a night out and wish you had a drink."

Holland mentioned that his lawyer's piece of advice "rang true" to him since his problem was that he would have one drink and be fine, but then keep on drinking more. The actor is looking forward to Bero's success and also his other upcoming projects.

Holland is set to star in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey and the Marvel film Spider-Man: Brand New Day alongside wife Zendaya.
