Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown’s ashes reportedly taken to Okanogan County Crematory in Washington after tragic death 

As per a recent news report by The Daily Mail, Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown was cremated after the 43-year-old suicided around two months ago.

According to a report by TMZ, the late reality star's primary cause of death was a gunshot wound to his head. On June 24, his ashes were transported to the Okanogan County Crematory in Okanogan, Washington.

On June 3, confirmation from the Okanogan County coroner's office that Brown committed suicide was received.

Both "under the influence of methamphetamine" and "subsequent immersion in water" were listed as contributory factors to his demise.

At the time of his death, Brown, 42, was observed by several witnesses in a river in Okanogan County in northern Washington state. On May 30, his younger brother Noah removed his body from the water.

Bear, (Brown's younger brother), said that Brown committed himself and mentioned a "self-inflicted" wound on his body, but he did not specify where it was.

Bear posted a devastating homage to Matt Brown upon his passing.

"We share the loss of our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Matthew Brown, with broken hearts," he wrote.

"Matt was regarded by millions of people as one of Alaskan Bush People's initial stars. He was so much more to us. Matt was bright, inquisitive, imaginative, and perpetually enthralled with his surroundings. He was a talented artist, fisherman, boatman, outdoor enthusiast, and lifelong student. He cherished nature, exploration, and adventure."

"Those who knew Matt well understood his heart."

Bear continued by saying "He had a strong desire to assist others and was kind and giving with his time. Through his videos and personal outreach, he candidly discussed his battles with addiction and mental health during times of sobriety and recovery.He reminded individuals that they were not alone, gave hope to those facing similar struggles, and urged others to get assistance. We are immensely proud of the lives he impacted."

"Matt Brown battled serious mental health challenges and addiction for many years," stated Bear.

"Matt's life was not without mistakes, struggles, and painful chapters," he stated. We don't downplay the pain some of those chapters caused. However, we don't think that a person's life should be determined only by their darkest times.

When we think of Matt Brown, we will recall the young man who had a passion for the outdoors, was adept at navigating choppy waters, could draw for hours, lost himself in learning, made us laugh out loud, and had dreams that most people would never have dared.He was flawed. He was a person. He was adored. And it is impossible to express how much we shall miss him.

On Wednesday, May 27, a caller reported to 911 that "he had just spoken to a male sitting in the shallow water of the Okanogan River south of Oroville, Washington," according to a press statement from the Okanogan County Sheriff's Office. The caller heard a commotion, looked away from the man sitting in the river, and then turned back to see the man face down in the water, drifting away in the current.

Despite their best efforts, law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services were unable to find the individual in the river.
