Dick got the opportunity thanks to connections through his sober friend of 20 years, Jennifer Gimenez, and her husband Tim Ryan. He is nos out of rehab and sober as of January 26.
Andy Dick has been to rehab over 20 times and arrested 10 times. He is now staying at a sober living facility near Beverly Hills. As per TMZ, the comedian is currently at the new facility.
Andy Dick claimed he did "a little crack" after photos showed him slumped outside Hollywood building

Andy Dick spoke out a day after photos emerged showing him slumped against a building in Hollywood. The comedian sat down for an interview with TMZ on December 10. Two unidentified friends sat on either side of him as he explained the incident.
"Doesn't it look like I'm 100% fine? A hundred and 10 percent," Dick told the cameraman.
Dick claimed that on December 9, he came across a man on the sidewalk. He said the man was around his age. Dick alleged the man pulled out some crack after he sat with him.
"I wanted to see what he was doing. And also, I don't mind doing a little crack every now and then," Dick said.
People confirmed at the time of Dick's apparent overdose that a friend took him home afterwards. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed they responded to the scene. The LAPD arrived at the location after receiving a call.
"I can confirm that we did respond to the intersection of Highland and Yucca at the 7-Eleven at 3:14 p.m. for a 59-year-old male. We did respond to that location for an overdose. He was not transported to the hospital," the spokesperson said.
Andy Dick admitted he propositioned people on set

As per a report shared by People, Dick has struggled with alcohol and drug addiction for decades. He has been arrested multiple times. His most recent arrest came in 2022. Dick was arrested on a charge of felony se*ual battery after a man said he had se*ually assaulted him.
Andy Dick was also fired from a movie in 2017. He lost the job over se*ual harassment claims. Dick addressed the claims to The Hollywood Reporter at the time. He denied the groping accusations but confirmed that he did lick people.
"I didn't grope anybody. I might have kissed somebody on the cheek to say goodbye and then licked them. That's my thing. I licked Carrie Fisher at a roast. It's me being funny. I'm not trying to se*ually harass people. I didn't grab anybody's genitals," Dick said.
He also admitted to THR that he propositioned people on set.
"Of course I'm going to proposition people. I'm single, depressed, lonely and trying to get a date. They can just say no, and they probably did and then I was done," Dick said.
The actor also said that the different se*ual climate in his youth makes him unsure of what the appropriate behavior is now.
"I don't know the difference between se*ual harassment and trying to get a date. In the '70s, all the girlfriends I got was by kissing and licking their cheek. I don't know anymore. There were beautiful women and beautiful guys on the set," he shared.
"I flirt with them. I might kiss someone on the set and ask them to go to dinner. They are the ones that took it south," Andy added.
Andy Dick admitted to alcoholism
The troubled actor has talked openly about his addiction battle over the years. In 2012, Dick said he went in and out of rehab centers a dozen times. He struggled with cocaine and alcohol addiction.
The comedian told Dr. Drew Pinsky about when he first entered treatment.
"The very first time, years ago, I think 15 years ago, I don't think there was any other choice for me. I needed to go to a safe place," Dick said.
Andy Dick admitted he was an alcoholic elsewhere in the interview. He questioned calling it a disease he has trouble with.
"It doesn't feel like a disease. I get that when I drink, it ain't no good. I know that," added Dick.
He also said he needed to work on his sobriety every day. Andy Dick confessed that daily work kept him on track.
"If I'm not doing that work, I know I will drink again," he told Pinsky.
In a 2015 video for The Artists Project LA, Dick admitted to struggles with addiction again. He claimed he was sober at the time.
"The main thing that I've struggled with over the years as an actor and really as a person, is the abuse of drugs and alcohol," said Dick.
He claimed things were going well for him at that point.
"Right now I'm doing phenomenally," he said.
