Megyn Kelly has weighed in on Amber Glenn’s comments on the LGBTQ+ community suffering under Trump's administration.

The three-time reigning U.S. figure skating champion, who came out as bisexual and pansexual in 2019, opened up about the threats she has been subjected to after she made political comments during an Olympics press conference this week.

"It's been a hard time for the community overall under this administration. It isn't the first time that we've had to come together as a community and try and fight for our human rights. Now, especially, it's not just affecting the queer community but many other communities, and I think that we are able to support each other in a way that we didn't have to before. Because of that, it's made us a lot stronger."

Megyn Kelly, however, slammed the athlete in a tweet that read:

"Another turncoat to root against."

During the Olympics press conference, Amber Glenn said:

"I hope I can use my platform and my voice throughout these games to try and encourage people to stay strong in these hard times," she said. "I know people will say 'you're just an athlete, stick to your job and shut up about politics, ' but politics affects us all. It's something that I will not be quiet about."

In the days since then, Amber Glenn shared an Instagram story revealing that she had been subjected to "a scary amount of hate/threats."

“When I chose to utilize one of the amazing things about the United States of America (Freedom of speech) to convey how I feel as an athlete competing for Team USA in a troubling time for many Americans I am now receiving a scary amount of hate/threats for simply using my voice WHEN ASKED about how I feel," her caption read. "I did anticipate this but I am disappointed by it. I will be limiting my time on social media for my own wellbeing for now but I will never stop using my voice for what I believe in."

Amber Glenn is the first woman to nab three straight U.S. titles since Michelle Kwan. As for Megyn Kelly, she has been hit with renewed backlash after she defended President Trump's comment to CNN anchor Kaitlin Collins, telling her she should "smile."

Trump's comment came amid the latest drop of the Epstein files, and it was hailed as sexist and dismissive. During her SiriusXM show with VP JD Vance, however, Megyn Kelly claimed she'd offered him similar advice in the past and had been given the same advice herself.
