On September 9, Jennifer Lawrence joined Instagram via her new account with username @jlaw. The Hunger Games star created her new account years after avoiding her social media presence. Alongside creating her account, she also shared an Instagram story and video urging fans not to say anything negative, or else she will quit.

On her story, Jennifer Lawrence wrote that mean comments will affect her negatively. She wrote:

“PLEASE BE MINDFUL THAT ANY MEAN OR AGGRESSIVE COMMENTS CAN NEGATIVELY AFFECT THE BABY. IT'S ME. I'M THE BABY.”

In her first IG video, Jennifer playfully sent a warning to online users:

“So yeah, I am giving it a shot and if anyone says anything negative I will quit immediately, no questions asked. If anyone thinks something mean, I will know and I will quit”

Jennifer soon went viral across different social media platforms and garnered mixed reactions for her request for kindness after joining Instagram. One of them on X wrote:
