On July 6, Candace Owens shared a post via her X account amid the preliminary hearing of Charlie Kirk’s murder suspect, Tyler Robinson. In her tweet, the political commentator referred to the pretrial as a ‘show trial’ and took a swipe at Erika Kirk’s tears.Tyler Robinson’s hearing, which began on July 6, is about him being accused of killing Charlie Kirk in September last year.Candace Owens, who has often denied that the suspect acted alone in the assassination, pointed out that Tyler’s defence team was not given a chance to check the text messages being used as evidence against him.“Today the Tyler Robinson show trial begins. Evidence like text message confessions will be allowed in the court room, despite the fact that Tyler’s defense has not been allowed to vet those messages to determine if they were doctored or who actually sent them. Remember, the FBI and ATF was not forced to turn over key evidence despite multiple discovery requests because the judge has ruled it’s not necessary at this stage.” Candace Owens wrote. The former Daily Wire host claimed that although Lance Twiggs’ testimony will be shown in court, the defence is not allowed to question him. Lance Twiggs is Tyler’s alleged partner, who shared the murder suspect’s text messages with authorities in which he allegedly confessed to his crime.“Key witness testimony from Lance Twiggs will be played, but Lance Twiggs is not allowed to be cross-examined because the judge has ruled it’s not necessary at this stage.” Candace added.Owens further said that in the hearing, Erika Kirk’s tears would be witnessed without any possible chance for the defense to argue.“Today is about emotion. You will hear the Fed’s narrative absent any ability for the defense to meaningfully dispute it. What you can expect (aside from Erika’s tears) are an orbit of her pay-rolled influencers trying to convince you that the unvetted evidence is “overwhelming” and “undeniable”.” Candace Owens wrote. She lastly said that the real trial will come later on, where truth will win.Blake Neff responded to Candace Owens ‘show’ trial claimsThe TPUSA spokesman, Blake Neff, reacted to Candace’s ‘show’ trial tweet. He criticized her for supporting the murder suspect. Blake wrote that Candace doesn’t want justice and wants Charlie Kirk’s killer to walk free.“But obviously, Candace does not want justice and she does not want the truth. She wants Charlie's killer to walk.” Blake wrote. In another tweet, Candace targeted the prosecuting parties for not handing over the evidence for review. She spoke up for Tyler’s defence team, which allegedly lacked the opportunity to cross-check the testimony in the murder case. The preliminary court hearing is where the judge will decide whether the case will move forward for trial after reviewing evidence.
