She ultimately joined the celebration virtually after her doctor advised her to remain in Nashville.During the appearance, Dolly Parton said she had been experiencing dehydration and occasional dizziness. She also acknowledged that she has dealt with health problems before.Dolly Parton's latest comments come as increased attention has surrounded her health in recent months. She said the constant flow of information through social media has changed how public figures' personal lives are discussed and scrutinized."It's not like I haven’t been through hard times with my health. Clad in a fairy costume, the music icon said in a video:"I'm still in Nashville, and I'm sorry about that. I was supposed to be in person, like we planned. I've had my butterfly wings flappin' since May 15 when we were due to open the first time, and again in June. Now I'm dehydrated, and so my Nashville doctor kind of clipped my wings, saying, 'You ain't traveling this week.' So I guess if your doctor tells you you ain't traveling this week, you ain't traveling this week!"Nevertheless, the event still went as planned despite the hiccup."So we're gonna open it today.
