Following recent opposition from Saqid Khan, the UK’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer voiced his concerns over Kanye West’s upcoming Wireless Festival performances.

Ye was revealed as the headliner for the year’s Wireless Festival on March 30. The rapper will perform for all three days of the festival, from July 10 to July 12.

As reported by The Sun, Keir Starmer said Kanye West’s upcoming show is "deeply concerning." The Prime Minister raised concerns amid the Heartless rapper’s antisemitic actions and remarks in recent years. He said:

"It is deeply concerning Kanye West has been booked to perform at Wireless despite his previous antisemitic remarks and celebration of Nazism.

Keir Starmer went on to say that any form of antisemitism should be confronted wherever it takes place. He reportedly said:

"Antisemitism in any form is abhorrent and must be confronted firmly wherever it appears. Everyone has a responsibility to ensure Britain is a place where Jewish people feel safe"

Sadiq Khan also opposed Kanye West’s Wireless Festival performance

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, also issued a statement on Ye headlining Wireless Festival this summer. Sadiq Khan said that Ye’s past comments and actions are not reflective of London’s values. He also added that the decision on Kanye’s performance was made by the festival organizers, not the City Hall.

“We are clear the past comments/actions of this artist are offensive and wrong, and are simply not reflective of London’s values. This was a decision taken by the festival organisers and not one City Hall is involved in.”

For those unaware, the rapper dropped a song called Heil Hitler last year, and he even sold t-shirts with printed Swastikas.

In related news, Kanye West generated buzz among his fans with his April 3 performance at SoFi. He made two new records with his show. His concert emerged as the highest-grossing show of SoFi Stadium ever. His show also sold the most tickets ever sold by any show at the stadium. Ye also invited Lauryn Hill as the special guest during his LA concert and performed ‘All Falls Down’ with her.
