A tweet that suggests Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande unfollowed Nicki Minaj on social media after she publicly backed President Trump has been going viral.

As of this writing, the tweet in question has been taken down. However, it alluded to claims that both songstresses were distancing themselves from the rapper after she called herself President Trump’s biggest fan and that her support for him would never waver.

The tweet has since been debunked as Nicki Minaj does not have an Instagram account as of this writing. However, Gomez and Grande don't follow the Anaconda rapper on X, though it is unclear if they ever followed her in the first place.

Amid mounting criticism of Trump and his handling of ICE raids and the death of two people, Nicki Minaj has emphasised that she is on the former's side. Following Renee Good and Alex Pretti's tragic deaths, the songstress made an appearance at the Accounts Summit on Wednesday, January 28.

She held the President's hand, and in her speech, claimed she was subjected to bullying.

“Well, I don’t know what to say. but I will say that I am probably the president’s no. 1 fan. And that’s not going to change,'' she said. Nicki continued, ''And the hate with what people have to say, it does not affect me, at all,” she continued. “It actually motivates me to support him more. And it’s gonna motivate all of us to support him more. We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him. The smear campaigns, it’s not going to work. He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him. Amen?”

Clad in a yellow dress with a white fur coat, Nicki Minaj walked up to the stage to greet the president. They spoke momentarily before he guided her to the podium to deliver her speech. The ‘’Super Bass'' rapper later shared a clip of the moment on X, calling him the best president.

Back in 2020, per The Hill, Nicki Minaj had made it clear that she wouldn't “jump on the Donald Trump bandwagon." In recent years, however, she has become a vocal supporter of the president. Just last month, she shocked her fans when she appeared as a guest at Turning Point USA’s annual conference.

“I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president,” Minaj said at the time “He has, I don’t know if he even knows this, but he’s given so many people hope that there’s a chance to beat the bad guys and to win and to do it with your head held high and your integrity intact. He’s from Queens, New York, like me,” she said.

On Wednesday, Trump echoed Minaj's sentiments when he regarded her as the

“greatest and most successful female rapper in history” and thanking her for donating “hundreds of thousands of dollars” into the Trump accounts. “I just think she’s great,” Trump said of Minaj. “I didn’t know Nicki, and I’ve been hearing over the years she’s a big Trump supporter, or Trump fan. And she took a little heat on occasion because her community isn’t necessarily a Trump fan,” he said.
