The US representative for Florida, Anna Paulina Luna, has criticized Disney after their ex-employee was arrested in a sex sting in Florida. She stated that the company needs to be better at "vetting its employees", claiming that this has happened before.

On Friday, October 30, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office gave a press conference about its largest undercover operation ever. They claimed that they have arrested 281 perpetrators who were allegedly involved in prostitution, child predation, or human trafficking. The operation was called “Polk Around and Find Out II.”

One of the people arrested was Collin Klaco, who was a former Walt Disney World Mickey Mouse character. He allegedly messaged an undercover detective who was pretending to be the guardian of a 13-year-old boy. He allegedly wanted to meet the boy to "do something".

After this news broke, U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna slammed the company on X (formerly Twitter), writing:

"Disney needs to do a better job of vetting their employees. This is not the first time this has happened."

A Polk County Sheriff named Grady Judd explained how they arrested Klaco at a press conference, saying:

"He was a former Disney Mickey Mouse character, okay? He had the high, squeaky voice too, by the way. He did, and he’s about this big... He may be the sickest, nastiest person we’ve ever arrested. Yeah, that’s correct,” he added.

The undercover detective had asked Klaco to come to a location, where he was eventually arrested.

Sheriff Grady Judd further explained that when Collin Klaco arrived at the location to meet their undercover agent, he was carrying diapers and wipes. He shared the disturbing details and said:

“He was into diapers. You know, diapers, and he had two backpacks full of diapers. He wanted to wear diapers. He wanted to put diapers on the children, and he wanted to do all kinds of nasty stuff. None of which we can talk about.”

Judd added that Klaco was not a Disney employee at the time of his arrest, explaining:

"I want to point out that he was no longer employed at Disney when this happened, but he was very proud to tell us that he at one time was a Mickey Mouse character. Well, now he’s a jailbird character, and that’s where he needs to be. And he’s fixing to be a state prison character upon his conviction."

According to News 6, Klaco has been charged with traveling to meet a minor, using a computer to solicit a guardian, using a two-way communication device to commit a felony, and attempted lewd/lascivious battery on a minor.

He isn't the only former or current Disney employee to have been arrested in the “Polk Around and Find Out II” operation, though. Adam Snyder, who reportedly works at Toy Story Land, and Alex Camacho, who works at the company's food services, were also arrested.

Snyder reportedly exchanged messages with an undercover agent who was posing as a 14-year-old boy. Camacho did the same with another agent, who posed as a 14-year-old girl.
