DJ Akademiks has alleged that Playboi Carti was initially featured on Drake's "No Face," but was axed because it took shots at The Weeknd's XO crew. In a new livestream, the social media personality claimed that Playboi Carti had initially been featured on Drake's track, but after he learned that it took shots at the record label founded by The Weeknd, he decided to step away from it. "The reality is, he gets the track, and Drake is dissing his homies," he said. "He's not trynna be in that bro," he claimed the rapper told him. "He's like, 'Yo dog, I can't be on a track where you're dissing my homies,'" he said. DJ Akademiks also claimed that Playboi Carti would have readily worked with Drake had the latter not taken shots at anyone. As of this writing, it is unclear if the Canadian rapper did indeed take shots at anyone, and neither The Weeknd, Drake, nor Playboi Carti has addressed these claims.
